Exactly, that means they will send us NOA of how they will now process the forms. My fingerprint appointment was waived for my 485, so that means we are already a step ahead.

Ok, thanks, congrats! Sorry if I missed something but why was your fingerprint appointment waived?

Can you please explain what those received texts are about...that means USCIS accepted your forms and won’t send them back due to something missing?

Correct

Received four text messages last night around 12:30 AM EST.

  • I-485 Finger Print Fee Processed
  • I-130 Processing
  • I-765 Processing
  • I-131 Processing

National Benefits Center working on case. I-797's Mailed.

Looked at my bank account, USCIS processed payments for $1225 and $535.

Just wanted to clarify I filed I-485 with a 2021 expiration.

What visa category are you adjusting from? Thanks for the update.

I guess they took what I gave them at the port of entry in December

What visa are you adjusting from? And how do you know that your fingerprint appointment is waived?

Can you please update your Timeline. Thank you!

I think that just means that they received the biometrics fee out of your AOS package, not that the actual fingerprints were waived.

This is correct

From VWP, I'm not sure if it is waived yet. Waiting for my letters and then I can report for sure!

I only checked it online and it said that the fingerprint fee was received. I'm still waiting for my NOA to come in the mail. Hopefully I will be able to say more then

Sorry but not at all does that mean that your biometrics are waived.

Everybody has that status update after the case was received and it only means that they received the biometrics fee that you paid.

Hmm sorry in that case someone else might be able to chime in. I have read where people have gotten the letter as you mentioned as well but that has taken some time unfortunately as they couldn't process online and had to wait for snail mail! But I may be wrong and somebody has found a way to get it faster.

My husband got his within a week. he sent a request by snail mail explaining his situation with the i-944, filled out the credit request form, and mailed it in. We got a reply a week later from Equifax saying a credit report could not be found... actually they keep mailing us the same letter over and over again. I have to contact them to ask them to stop now, haha.

It took us about 6 weeks to get his ITIN.

Did you send in his passport? What steps did you take? We need the ITIN so I can file taxes. However, we are wary of sending off his only form of id in the mail right now.

Oh no, I wouldn’t trust the mail with his passport. My husband was here on ESTA in February 2019 , we went together to the IRS office and applied for W7 there. They asked for his passport, our marriage license and a copy of tax papers.

In April we received a letter from IRS with his ITIN.

That's true. We filed for an ITIN for my husband but thankfully we could send in a certified copy because we were exempt from sending the original because I am active duty military. BTW we still haven't gotten it. Hopefully we will soon.

We sent our packet a couple of weeks ago, delivered to the Chicago lockbox the afternoon of April 14, but still no word from USCIS. I know it’s still within the 2-4 week timeframe I’m seeing everywhere. I had originally assumed it might be slightly delayed due to Covid-19, but after seeing everyone’s updates of quick NOAs, I’m getting nervous! Anyone with the same timeline still waiting for their NOA?
