Hello guys, my AOS package was received at USICS office on 13 April. Haven't heard any notification, text, email etc. I just checked the expiry date on my i485 and it's 10/21/2021.

Many of us with the same expiry date have been accepted. You still have time. If you haven't heard anything after 30 days from filing, give USCIS a call to check the status of your application.

Good luck!

Do you have a bank account here in the US? My bank was able to print out my credit score which stated that I don't have one. Maybe they will be able to help you?

I do have a bank account! Would USCIS accept the banks credit score since it’s not one of the three big companies? At this point I feel like it’s better than not submitting one at all 🤷🏼‍♀️

While this is still a new form, we have been following it since it started a few months ago, we did the same as you, screen shot of the error screen, and a letter explaining. We also have yet to see anyone get rejected for "credit score".

This form is used for multiple different visa's its not only for K-1.

We also got all 3 NOA's and are at the finger print stage (waiting for things to open back up)

Im assuming you are married already? Ive seen plenty of people on this site send the AOS package (not I-130) after the I-94 expires, my understanding is that you need to have a marriage cert saying you were married before the I-94 expires

Thanks for your reply, let’s hope that we don’t get rejected and in the best case a RFE

Yes I am aware that this is not only for K1. I got married in February and sent in the AOS in the beginning of March and got denied because I missed the I-944. So I’ll make it before my I-94 expires if I send my package now

Hi, I'm sorry but this advice is not corect. The debts and liabilities section only applies to the applicant. The question does NOT ask for the household's debt.

It DOES ask for the household's assets though.

And yes, an applicant can have debt. For example I listed my student loan from Australia.

I'm not trying to come across rude, I just needed to correct this so that others don't get the wrong advice.

Just as you put the assets of yourself and your spouse(who is your petitioner) so you will also put your liabilities and that of your spouse(your petitioner). I believe at the end of the day they will subtract the liabilities from the assets to see the net worth. If the liabilities is just for the applicant, is the assets just for applicant too? Are you adjusting from K1 marriage or are you adjusting on your own?

If you going through the public charge form you will understand that it’s kind of designed for those who have been living and working here in United States. Someone on K1 just got here, do you have a credit score? No, because you don’t have a job. Even if your spouse puts you as authorized user on his or her credit card, it’s going to take you a while to build that. So you see people printing from credit score website that they don’t have one & writing a letter they just got here and to me they’re right.

All I’m saying is every case is different and since the public charge rule is new, we do not know the true picture of what’s really expected of us. You may have a student loan from Australia and someone else doesn’t have. Why are they asking for 250% poverty guideline of your petitioner if their liabilities won’t matter? Why are they asking for the petitioner’s credit score if their liabilities won’t matter? Why are they asking if a petitioner is on public charge benefit & not just you? Because a petitioner’s actions will rub off on the applicant since they got you here.

So then is it okay to put assets of you and your petitioner but when it gets to liabilities you say nothing about theirs?

To my understanding No.

Mine was a print out from one of the three, at the end of the day it's verified from a bank. I got accepted that way :)

I was able to receive a credit report through Experian, however I didn't want to pay for my credit score info so I actually got it through a print off of my Credit Karma account (this also showed a short overview of a credit report from Equifax). I'm not sure if this info will be helpful for you but to anyone else out there, I got approved (so far) with using my score off Credit Karma.

We went to the bank before Covid got worse. Maybe give your bank a call and go by or have them mail it to you :)

I gave them a call and it turns out that Capital One use CreditWise which is powered by TransUnion, so I managed to get a statement saying that I have a zero credit score! I hope this will be enough!

Thanks a ton for your help!

When did you file - cannot see your timeline ?

Can you please explain what those received texts are about...that means USCIS accepted your forms and won’t send them back due to something missing?
