So the only difference between the form that expires 10/31/2020 and 10/31/2021 is the first page? I have already filled out the whole 10/31/2021 edition of the I-485 and don't want to re do it again! If just changing the first page works I'll do that 😃

I dont recall anyone else having this issue...

Yes just change the first page. I doubt it will be rejected. They made a bunch on changes on the 20th so please check everything. I just saw them put up some new instruction for the EAD.

Form i 765:

12/26/19. Starting 4/20/20, we will only accept the 12/26/19 edition. Until then, you can use the 5/31/18 edition. You can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the form and instructions.

Dates are listed in mm/dd/yy format.

Not sure just the first page is sufficient as the bar codes at the bottom are different between the 2020 and 2021 versions. If the codes at the bottom are different from page 1 and the rest of the pages I am not sure whether this cause any issues.

Then again, does anyone know what the bar code is there for?

its the i485 form that has the issue expiry date is 10/31/2020 not 10/31/2021

Other forms are still the same

Yes I noticed that about the I-765, I am just checking all other form date/editions to be safe. We have pretty much filled out all forms, just gathering evidence, so really hoping to avoid having to fill in any forms all over again.

I don't see any actual changes with the I-485 form, just the 1st page obviously. Do you??

Its same edition 10/15/19 won't affect the barcode

Yes, the expiring date on the right top should be 10/31/2020  and not 10/31/2021

The edition still remains 10/15/2019 at the bottom

I'm confused! We downloaded those forms and now all of a sudden it's 10/31/2020?? Then why would they have the 10/31/2021 on their website to download?

Apparently the 2021 was there till the end of last week. It changed to the 10/31/2020 after.

So now we will get denied because they changed it after they received our package with the 2021 forms? This is insane

I think if you have submitted the forms already, don't panic just yet. It is still all speculation on our sides that 2021 forms may be rejected. As long as your edition date is still 10/15/19, it should (should!) still be accepted.

I think if they were not going to accept it they would have a notice like they do with the I 765. Not about to stress until i need to stree

Don't submit the 10/31/2021 i485 they will return it and you will waste your time

Shoot...that's the form I submitted on 4/24 😪 that was the one I printed out from USCIS.gov website.  So that means it will be returned?

Does the date of submission counts?

Yeah, because the night before we sent them out we downloaded the forms again just to double check if we had the right one and it was the 2021 edition with 10/15/19 on the bottom. Soooooo frustrating!

The one's who got their NOA, which edition did you guys file?

Same with us, let's hope they accept it. I mean how do they expect people to keep up with all the forms & changes they are making?
