Hey all, we sent out our packet on Thursday and haven’t received texts or anything yet but just noticed that they charged our card today for the $1,225! I hope it’s because it all looked ok and our NOA is on its way!

That is a positive indication

OMG! Guys we got the texts!!! 🥰 I’m so happy! Now we leveled up to the “official wait” 🤣. It’s hard to not get anxious during times like these so these texts did bring a huge sense of relief!

Packet sent: April 14th

Packet arrived to lockbox: April 17th

Texts received: April 29th 12:22am

Hope more April filers get their texts soon too! Will let you know when the physical NOA arrives.

Congratulations

I am co-sponsor for my son's wife from Colombia.  She received her K-1 visa, came to the US, and they were married 02-29-20.  Their AOS packet including G-1145, G-1450, I-485,

I-944, I-865, I-864 (sponsor), I-864 (co-sponsor), I-765, and I-131 and all supporting documentation was mailed USPS 04-03-20 and received at Chicago Lockbox 04-08-20, but still no NOA.  I have seen other posts here where people have gotten responses much quicker than that.  Could the lack of response  mean the application was not accepted and is on its way back?  Her I-94 expires on 05-19-20, so at this rate there would not be time to refile before then.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

I am in a similar position

filed 07 Apr 2020

delivered 10 Apr 2020

still no NOA

the 9 day average is exactly that - the norm could be anywhere from 5 to 30 days

with a high probability for between 15 - 30 days.

I suggest you Or the beneficiary call the USCIS- they may already be processing your application.

good luck to you and your family

First, I want to thank everyone in this community for the information.

So I summited my documentation back in march and got back because and outdated form I-485. We resend all the forms including the I-944. Today, we got all the documentation back with a letter saying that:

The application/petition has not been fully completed. Based on the selection made under part 2 Application Type or Filling Category, the Form I-944, and/or Form I-864/I-864EZ. Please review the form instructions for information.

Please be sure to complete the application fully, submit the appropriate fees, and include all required supporting documentation.

I don't understand because we summited the I-485, I-130, I-864, I-130A, I-693, I-944. So I guess the issue was that we didn't filled the forms well.

Does anyone has any suggestion?

THANK YOU!😀

I received this letter the last time I was rejected. I went back through those 3 forms, printed off new ones and re-read the instructions a bunch of times. Looking back at it, the I-944 was my main problem as I had left a lot of spaces blank instead of inputting N/A. I had also missed some evidence that I needed to include that I completely missed before filing. I would suggest you go back over everything closely. Good luck!

Dear all, need some help. I'm preparing the forms to refile again tomorrow. Regarding the benefits section under Part 3, Page 11, Question 25, what should I put for it since it does not apply to me?

Yes would mean i had filed for benefits and I had withdrew application, but NO would mean that I applied for something. What did you guys put? Thanks!

I am in the same situation, the question does not apply to me...so I put NO.

All, Just a heads up of a small date discrepancy that I noticed today while checking all the forms before shipping them off. The form I-485, I-864 and I-944 were effectively revised to reflect the the Feb 24 ruling and the expiry of all three forms is 10/31/2021 and edition is 10/15/2019. Atleast thats what I downloaded and am going to ship. But as of today the USCIS website shows the expiry of form I-485 to be 10/31/2020 but the edition is the same. Dont know if I am the only one with this issue or something changed. For now everything is sealed for me so I am going to just go ahead and submit the documentation but just want to bring it to everybody attention. Let me know if you see the same issue. Thanks.

Don't submit i-485 that has expiring date 10/31/2021 they will reject it and send you rejection NOA

Use the new i-485 on USCIS for your case

Do not waste your time

They have zero tolerance

Did you get rejected from using the 2021 edition or someone you know did? I submitted that form (2021) beginning of last week as that edition was on the USCIS website to download.. guess I am looking at a third rejection 😭

Was it the 2020 or 2021 expiry date? I had made sure to double check everything before I sent but I either missed that the expiry dates changed or they changed after we re-submitted... 🤷‍♀️

the current form on USCIS website is Form I-485 OMB no 1615-0023 expires 10/31/2020   with annotation at bottom of page Edition 10/15/19

I filed the current form from USCIS Form I-485 OMB no 1615-0023 expires 10/31/2021 with annotation at bottom of page Edition 10/15/19

is this a concern?

I dont want to blow a fuse BUT/

With all the issues going on concerning I 944 / COVID 19  courthouse closures USCIS Closures and similar it seems UNFATHOMABLE that a rejection will be given if an applicant used the RIGHT form at time of application / the  *validity is denoted on top of page should not be a disqualifyer / unless the form is expired/ and according to the denotation on the bottom of the page / it is the same FRIGGIN form Edition 10/15/19.

this is absolutely insanity if this is the case.

I have checked the USCIS list for form updates

Feb. 24, 2020

Update to Supplement A to Form I-485, Adjustment of Status Under Section 245(i). New Edition Dated 10/15/19.
Edition Date: 10/15/19. Effective Feb. 24, prior editions will be rejected.

Aug. 13, 2019 Update to I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status; New Edition Dated 07/15/19.
07/15/19. We will also accept the 12/13/17 edition.
Jan. 3, 2018 Update to Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, New Edition Date 12/13/17.
To apply for lawful permanent resident status if you are in the United States.

Anyone with any insight please comment.

Yes, the expiring date on the right top should be 10/31/2020  and not 10/31/2021

The edition still remains 10/15/2019 at the bottom
