Yes it said that you application has not been fully completed. Based on the selection made under part 2 application Type or filing category, tthe form i 944 and/or i 864/i 864ez are required. Please review the form instructions for information.

Please be sure to complete the application fully. submit the appropriate fees. and include all required supporting documents.

Ok, so you got the same one as me too-----pretty much indicating something could have been wrong with the 485, 864, and/or 944.  So general and annoying!

I know it was the I 944 for sure because when I went over it a lot of the boxes were not checked off. Blame it on the Janky lawyer I had fill out the i 944. Also when i resent i ended up doing the I 864ez, vice the i 864.

I got the same rejection letter because A lot my I 944 wasn't completed. They sent back everything tho.  Because of the incomplete I 944 the I 484 was rejected, my i 130 was rejected because the category i'm filing requires the i 485.

I feel like the i-944 is just designed to trip people up, especially the public benefits part.

In your rejection notice, did they say that it is due to an incomplete i-944 or that it is required?

I'm filling out a fresh copy of the i-944, am deliberating over this question about benefits again. What did you check for this question?:

You personally knew, but the letter itself didn't say that it was the 944 is my point.

Its asking if you ever had a public  benefit and then canceled or terminated it. This is an important question because if it's TRUE and you answer yes you have to supply the date and that's  how the adjudicator makes his decision on your case based on the time frame you had the said public benefit. If you never had any public benefits that are considered under the public charge then answer NO!

As someone adjusting from K1, are we certified to receive public benefits in the future?

For all those submitting the I-944, I'm  sure you will see the form again so please keep your records. I'm  sure that you'll see it again during the interview phase should you have one. I'm sure they will ask questions based on the form.

Noted the signature at interview section at the back of the i-944, am inferring from that form onwards everyone adjusting will need to have an interview.

@Sarge2155, could you kindly advise if AOS applicants from K1 are certified to receive public benefits in the future? Still hesitating over my previous answer.

This is true because there there is a section that has to be signed at the interview

You as the immigrant (if you are) IMO do not I repeat do not want to be associated with ANY public benefits insofar as when applying for your visa and or GC. The word certified throws me off, but I would answer  NO. As I have said before this form is designed to trip you up at almost every turn with its questions.  If you answered no I think you are alright. Why would you be certified to receive public benefits anyway? Remember they are looking for people that MIGHT at ANY time be a public charge!!!!! That's  how they determine if you are denied or approved.

This is so so true. I am the USC and this form is a tool to slow down and discourage legal immigration. But as long as we are honest and like you said avoid becoming a public charge at all cost everything should work out eventually.
