We had our interview at San Bernardino last week. It was pretty straight forward, everyone from the security officers to the interviewing officer were very nice. We received the "Case Approved" the next day. Today in the mail we are receiving the official approval letter in the mail. What is the process after that, how long until the Green Card comes?

So, back to the interview. I wish we could provide more helpful advice. Our interview was pretty simple & straightforward. We were only asked how we met. And then everything from there was just general chit chat while he cross-checked everything from our IOE application with the paper documents he had in front of him. We went prepared with a TON of paperwork & proof. It was all organized and labeled by category. He just took a few pieces of updated info from it (like latest tax return). We talked about Disney for a while and then that was it. He said "you're good to go, should receive the green card in a few weeks".

I think it helped that we have been together for 6 years and married for 2. We also got all the way through to "Documentally Qualified" on the CR1 route before switching to AOS due to my husband being stuck in the US after he came down to visit me late February last year. So I think since we already had several background checks done that may have helped? I don't know. But he's getting the 10yr GC which is really great news for us. It's been a long 2 year process and I'm really excited that we'll be able to bring my husband's stuff down from Canada soon!

Good luck to everyone else who is still waiting. I hope it goes very fast for you!

I had my marriage based I485 interview earlier this afternoon in Atlanta. Everyone from the security to the interviewer were super friendly!

I was little concerned as our case was out of box, meaning my husband is self employed and he is on unemployment right now and I have my own startup since I got my EAD
Also we don’t have many documents together except a car we own and joint taxes.

Having said that we have been living together abroad since 2017 and have tons of pictures.

I literally took $60 worth printouts 😂

Now for the interview, as soon as we got in, our interviewer said alright I looked at your file and it’s good so let’s get you out of here quick 😀
And then it’s pretty much I 485 checklist questions and I made some conversation about us and he didn’t even worry about any of that. He only asked few follow up questions on my work out of curiosity and ended up updating self employed on my file and that’s it!

Unfortunately he didn’t find my medical and started looking up online and found a packet in Nebraska. He ordered for it and said I’m pretty sure that’s your medical and as soon as it gets here I’ll approve your GC which he said should be in 2 weeks.
If they don't find my medical in that packet from Nebraska I have to submit another medical. But pretty much from my interviewers words my GC is approved🙂

I shared my background in case anyone is in similar scenario!🙏🙂

Good luck for everyone who is having their interviews soon😊

Congrats.
We had our interview today as well in Atlanta. However, me and my wife were separated. She just questioned me (the beneficiary) and it was quick. She just asked me security questions and how her and I  met and that was it. I check my case online and it says “new card being produced”.

I asked this awhile ago but worth asking again... has anyone been scheduled for an interview who did NOT receive the "case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" update? Our status has been stuck on "fingerprints were taken" since August and I'm really starting to stress that our packet has fallen behind someone's desk or something.

I think we are in the same boat. I had a call to USCIS regarding my EAD/AP renewal as I lost my receipt notice for I485. When she looked deeper she said something is not right in our history for 485. She said the process is that NBC request FO for a date and then FO returns the confirmation of the same to NBC which then reaches to us with that. She told me in my case NBC hasn't even requested the date yet so technically my FO doesn't even know that I need one. After me asking to request it she basically said that sometimes they request it but don't update the system, so that might be the case! :( Just thought I will let you know if you want to try to ask that specific question to USCIS. As of now I am in ho hurry to get the GC because if it approved post Oct I not only get 10 years GC but also 10% hike my job. Weird situation.  lol

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone from Dallas had their interview date yet? Its been about 15 months and have not heard anything except Biometrics yet

We live in Dallas and are still stuck waiting! My husband has called a few times to follow up, but USCIS says his application is still being processed. We applied for his EAD/AP renewal (his current one expires at the end of September) back in May and have the NOA1, but still waiting on that to finish processing as well. Sigh.

Had my interview in March, they couldn’t make a decision on our case (basically she hadn’t looked at it), but we still haven’t heard back from them…we were told to wait 90 days for result, so we did and submitted an enquiry, now we’re being told to wait another 90 days 😡 so frustrating

My husband and I had our interview today at the Baltimore field office at 1115. We checked in and sat in the waiting area. We were called back about 1135. The officer swore us in and then asked for ID. We gave her our DL. She asked why we had different States. I told her because I am military I kept my home of record DL. She said she will ask both of us questions from the 130 and just my husband should answer questions for the 485. Before she started she asked if I wanted to give her anything. Gave her lease, tax returns, bank statements, and utilities. She also asked for the medical (she noticed a box wasn't checked so she had to make sure it wasn't a make or break). She asked to verify information on both forms and updated our address since we moved from Florida to Maryland during the process. She also updated my husband's job information. She asked what we use our joint bank account for. Asked all yes/no questions. In the end, we waited for her to get the go-ahead with the medical. While she was waiting to hear back she said she will approve the 130. In the end, she said congratulations I am approving both forms. By the time we got to the car, the case updated to card being produced.

Finally had our interview last Tuesday! I was anxious and nervous but the agent was friendly. Questions were general about how we met, what we like to do together, questions about each other’s parents and then just more stuff directly off the form. He didn’t give us an answer on the spot but told us he didn’t see any issues but he still had some stuff he’d like to review. We asked how long the review process may take and he said 120 days at most. But by the time we had lunch and were driving back home it updated online to “new card is being produced.” As of today it’s already been mailed out and the sense of relief and freedom we both feel is crazy. It’s been such a long and arduous process but this platform has been so helpful even during times of radio silence concerning my own case, when I came on here and saw updates from others I got so hopeful. So thank you guys for helping me on my journey and for letting me witness yours!
