I asked this awhile ago but worth asking again... has anyone been scheduled for an interview who did NOT receive the "case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" update? Our status has been stuck on "fingerprints were taken" since August and I'm really starting to stress that our packet has fallen behind someone's desk or something.

From my perspective- I believe we are many having the exact same experience- perhaps All our files are behind the same desk - It is incredibly frustrating not to have any movement in such a long time...

Congrats! That’s encouraging to here. :) I felt like it was radio silence for interviews in the DFW area for the longest time. When did you file your case?

Anyone else out there who had their interview March still not know if they’ve been approved?

the officer said she couldn’t make a decision on our case at the end of the interview since she hadn’t had the time to review our file properly so we didn’t get anything back from her at time of interview... online it took 2 weeks to update to interview complete case must be reviewed and we’ve heard nothing since....

any idea how long the review process is? Or how long this might take?

I'm in the same boat from my April 6 interview (although he verbally approved us in the room...). From the DC filers WhatsApp group I'm in and what I've seen on Reddit, the news isn't great... It seems like it's usually either around 30 days after, and if not, then some folks have waited 120+/160+ days.

I'll keep you posted if I hear anything, but there also seems to be no real explanation of why this is the case - it seems to be IO specific and somewhat case specific.

For DFW people, someone with PD April 2020 also just posted a comment in the lawfully app about having his interview scheduled for May 21.

I am PD April 24, 2020 still waiting.

Thanks for the update! I hope things will start moving in our area and we all get scheduled for interviews soon.

Our appointment is 6/1 in Santa Ana, CA. Now I'm worried about the physical exam. My wife and child both had the physical exam in the Philippines over two years ago now in January 2019, entered the USA just before the six month expiration of the visa on July 7, we got married Sep 21 2019. Do we need another physical? No RFE. I just hate to spend at least $500 on physical exams that might not be needed. When I read the policy, it appears that we do need them. Should I wait until the interview to find out? Then what happens?

i honestly don't know the answer for that.  I do understand spending unnecessary money is frustrating, but if you need it and don't have it, It will delay things more. If you get it and don't need it, it's frustrating but at least you were prepared just in case.

How many of you have Applied for Renewal of your EAD - AP ?  How long did it take for you to receive the NEW card ?

I am still not Too confident that i will receive the GC before expiration of my current EAD AP card - the Duo come tumbling down Sep 11 2021 -

I thought about the futility of having applicants re applying- the old fashioned way instead of online- or even an automatic re issue of said document with another 12 months while the AOS is pending-

why is USCIS and their policies tripping UP their OWN work- this requirement and I guess numerous similar antiquated or counterproductive policies hinder the USCIS in ever having a chance to get to the bottom of thr caseload -

by virtue of chance or by Design ???

the cynic in me have found his own answer- but Personally I cannot believe/ understand why this is the case - either way of cause is a sad reality.

any thoughts

That is correct because I-485 file date was after 1 year. They'll need 1 each of signed and sealed Form I-693.

I went ahead and made the appointment. $550 for both total. At least we already have the vaccine record. I would just hate to walk out of the interview with another delay. Thanks. If anyone knows of a cheaper doctor in Southern California, please let me know. One doctor I called wanted $525 each. I wish I could find the doctor that charges $100 only (USCIS had that as the lower fee of the price range).

We just mailed off my husband’s EAD/AP renewal to the Chicago Lockbox! His combo card also expires in September.

We haven’t received an interview date yet and wanted to file for renewal with plenty of time to spare, just in case. Better safe than sorry. I’ve seen a lot of posts from people who said the approval process for the renewal was very quick and had the card in hand in about a month - hoping the same happens for our case, or even better, that we just get an interview date already!

We sent in our renewal paperwork about a month ago. We also got the combo card in September and wanted to make sure we give them as much time as possible for the renewal if needed. Really hoping we get the green card before that but better safe than sorry! Luckily since most of the information is exactly the same, it didn't take too long to pull everything together.
