Hi All,

Β My wife's ead status changed to new card being produced yesterday. We had a couple of questions for anyone received ead card recently.Β

1. How long will it take for the card to arrive by mail after the status change?

2. Will it be delivered to usps mailbox or is it going to be signature confirmed delivery?

I received my card in the mail afterΒ 8Β days.

normal delivery.

Interviews take place at field offices, not ASCs. In some places, they're in the same building, but not the same department. You can see your field office location on the USCIS website by putting your ZIP code.

Hi Everyone! I finally received notification that my interview was scheduled - looks like they've finally made it to the April filers thank god!Β

I'm typically a lurker here, but have something interesting that happened today. The AOS interview was supposed to be today, 2/22, at the Nashville field office. We arrived around 8:00 for the 8:15 appointment. We checked in and everything seemed to be going alright. We ended up waiting until about 8:40 until they called our number. But we didn't get called back to the offices like other people, the guy asked us to step into a different room for naturalization ceremonies first. That's when I knew something was wrong.

Β

He proceeded to tell us that "they don't have the file" and they wouldn't be able to conduct the interview today. I asked how they didn't have the file when our original interview was scheduled for 1/20, but got rescheduled a couple days before that when the USCIS offices closed for the inauguration. He said that he wasn't able to provide any additional information. He said that he is not able to make a determination today without the file and that they would reschedule the appointment once they receive the file. He said the interview would probably be in the next month or two.

Β

Very frustrating. We're used to waiting at this point, so I guess we'll wait some more. Has anybody heard of this happening before? Any theories about what could have happened?
