Only used paperclips for attaching the check and passport photos.  Had nothing else since all of my office supplies are at work and now I'm working from home.  I've heard they can everything right away so it may just be more work for USCIS to un-attach a bunch of paper clips for a petition.

I don’t know how USCIS works but I got my texts in 3 working days and I used paper clips.

It really is one big mystery!

I know man, reading all these stories is scaring the out of me. But I haven’t had any delays or issues so far. I have been extra careful with filing forms and making sure I have all the documents in order. I guess I’ll have to wait and see how things go.

If you have one, yes.

Yes I do have one, I was only unsure because the box is right at the top of the form and wasn't sure if the person reviewing would fill it in.

Congratulations

mailed the same date received the 10th but still no NOA1

anxiously waiting... and hoping...

I94 date 3 May 2020 stressed out about it - MUCHO

I find it that most people can’t relate to this.

even my wife seem to be able to remain calm about it ..

My husband was a nervous wreck the whole week and I had to yell at him. As late as last night he was extremely stressed out. As a naturalized citizen, I have been around the block many times both as an immigrant and a petitioner. My advice is don't stress. My husbands I94 (came on a B2) expired the day of us mailing out. I wouldn't worry if I were you. You are no longer illlegal.

Hi,

I have a quick question regarding the I-485 application form. At the top of every page is a box for the A-number, should i fill that in? or leave it?

Many Thanks

Fill it in.

It should have just auto- populated.

Question for all that have filed already? How did you assemble the package? There are mix opinions out there.

1. Did you guys put the stick note? If yes did you use regular sticky note at the bottom or side?

2. Did you hole punch the top with two holes?

3. Did you pack each form, I485, I130, I765, I131 individually in a different brown envelope or all together. Thanks.

1. I didn't use any sticky notes. But instructions says you can and to put them at the bottom.

2. I didn't do the hole punch- again, not a compulsory requirement, but you can do it if you want.

3. Yes- I had 3 individual envelopes- Envelope #1 had I485, I864, I944. Envelope #2 had I765. Envelope #3 had I131. And labelled each envelope with what was in it.

Then I put all 3 envelopes in a large padded envelope from USPS.

I secured each form along with its evidence separately with a binder clip to differentiate them and then put them in an envelope.

E.g. Binder clip for I485, I864, I944, I765, I131 - 5 binder clips in total.

The I944 Form and evidence needed a special LARGE binder clip hahaha.

Really there are many many ways to assemble  your applications. The bottom line is to submit it in a way that USCIS will accept. Therefore you should go by the guidelines on the USCIS webpage. I do realize that most of us tweak our assemblies a bit and that's perfectly ok. But any outlandish methods  should be avoided. As long as your packet reaches its destination intact and it is subsequently accepted that's ALL that matters!

Hey we just mailed out our AOS packet and should be delivered tomorrow by noon😱 It’s been quite stressful putting it all together (we definitely “didn’t” argue putting it together 😂)  but I am so happy at least we got it out! Thanks for the help and good luck to everyone!!

I just mailed out our AOS packet as well earlier! So nerve-racking, kept thinking in my head “What if I forgot to *fill in the blank*” and this process so far has been a test for couples! Good luck to you! How did you send it? I used USPS and they said it should be delivered on Monday...

Hi everyone.i apply for aos 2 weeks ago but I didnt send the form I-944.

I basically heard today about that form.i dont know what to do ,plus i didnt received my noa1 yet.

Any advice?

Thank you!

I would download the I944 now and start collecting the required documents.

I would anticipate for your application to be rejected due to missing the form.

It is now a requirement to submit I944, so if you  start getting it ready now, you will be prepared when you need to re-file.

I am so sorry to hear this has happened to you. Very frustrating :(
