im sure you have read already in the forum but those of you who have been scheduled for biometrics ask them at the centre to do both i485 and i131 at the same time. This is obviously for those who only got biometrics letters for either one or the other. hopefully it will save you time of going back for the second time to have a photo taken and just an index finger even though for the i1485 they take all 10 fingers and a picture anyway.

Great suggestion. We were told that it would apply to the 131 but the 765 and 485 updated online but the 131 still says case was received.

Heard of any issues of getting stuck in their country  trying to come back ?

Only early on when a few countries had completely restricted international air travel by only allowing cargo flights. Now in those countries the risk has been mitigated by requiring very recent PCR test, etc.

I would put in a work order request for the i-765 being outside of normal processing time (>6 months for National Benefits Center).

https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Intro.do

If you don't hear back about biometrics or the work order within 30 BUSINESS days, you should call the main customer service line (1-800-375-5283). Make sure to say that you have a technical problem, otherwise you will only speak to a robot.

Tell the human customer service agent about no response after 30 business days and ask to escalate to a tier 2 agent. You should be put in a queue to speak with someone, who should be able to schedule your biometrics appointment.

Only if I-765 receipt date is on or before "April 07, 2020." https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

They only recently push those dates back... it was June 2020 when I looked a few weeks back, it said April 25 way back in October when I submitted my initial enquiry

@Bjh

i did in October when my date came due (before they pushed dates back) and was meant to get a response by 18 November.. after talking online with someone they said call them mid December which I did (by then it showed them processing June 2020) and was told to submit a did not receive appointment request, even though they hadn’t scheduled the bio appointment.. still nothing 😢

Hi there, I have a question about visa expiration if anyone is able to answer! My current work visa expires May 8th, 2021 - assuming I still have not received the EAD by that time, I will no longer be able to legally work for my current company. However, my I-94 expires May 23rd 2021 - would I be correct in assuming that once May 8th passes I can no longer work and that the I-94 just indicates that on May 23rd I will not be travelling on a valid visa or could I continue working until the 23rd? Sorry if this is a stupid question 😅 TIA!

Called them like you said and got put straight through to a real nice woman who scheduled my appointment and emailed the notice to me 5th Jan... 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 thanks so much for the “technical problem” comment, calling them these days is impossible to get through to a real person and it worked awesomely

Curious if anyone in the Dallas area (or even Fort Worth) has had their interview scheduled yet?
