For folks who have gotten super delayed biometric and now waiting for further updates on approval for EAD. What are your timelines looking like? Has anyone had any success getting updates or actions on their cases?

PD April 22, biometrics done on Oct 22. Been on fingerprints applied to case for EAD since then and ready to be scheduled for an interview on the 485!

Had our interview on the 15th! We got to the area 40 minutes early. So much for rush hour traffic going to Cleveland, oops. Anyway, it went well and was pretty smooth. The gentleman didn't want any of our co-mingling evidence we printed out. I asked if he was sure, "I have more than enough here". (I was surprised how large the file was lol..) He only took our wedding photos in the end.

Still waiting on a decision though. No approval or denial yet. :( Making me paranoid and obsessively checking the case status throughout the day.

Oh man! This all sucks!! It was a huge fight to get to the biometric appointment stage. And now we have to fight through the approval too? Have you tried contacting USCIS? Has there been any clarification on when can you expect your card? Is there anything at all we can do?

I have not tried contacting USCIS myself, after reading many people's experiences waiting on the EAD and trying to contact them and getting absolutely nowhere, I decided not to waste my time! It sucks, because I have also seen many people getting "fairly" quick turnaround after getting biometrics done. I have not found anyone going through the ASC as me though, so I don't have anyone to compare to either. I really don't think there is much to do other than wait 😔

It's super stressful and frustrating. But I agree, there is not much help contacting USCIS. At this point, I am not sure if anything can help. I guess we just have a very bad stroke of luck and there is nothing to be done but wait (which is the worst).

We are in a very similar boat and it definitely sucks. We tried many times to contact USCIS, when we finally got through they said it’s within normal processing and they can’t do anything. Ours still says “Biometrics scheduled” even though he got his EAD already.

PD date 04/14, finally got biometrics done 10/26 for AOS and EAD (not AP yet?), both case statuses updated to “fingerprints applied to case” the same day as biometrics but nothing since then. No EAD updates and AOS still says fingerprints applied. I put in an “outside normal processing time” service request on 12/3 and was told to expect a response by 12/25 but we all know how that goes!

I did the same, only we put in the outside normal processing request in October, we were due a response 18 November called them and told to wait until mid December then called them and told to put in a did not receive appointment request 😡 we still haven’t gotten anything back from them, let alone biometrics
