Oh my bad. I misread your post. But still. Congratulations! It's been a long wait.

My EAD was approved after 2 weeks. Card was shipped to one week later and I received it within another week. So it's 4 weeks total.

Edit: It was in late August

Thanks for your response. In your experience (and others), did you apply for a SSN with the EAD - and if so, did the SSN card come with the EAD card?? Or did it come some other way/at some other time?

It comes separately. EAD is sent by USCIS and SSN card is sent by SSA.

And sometimes mistakes happen. On the I-765 form, you consent to USCIS "forwarding" your info to SSA. Sometimes it isn't forwarded despite your consent.

We had to chase for months for my husbands. It was assigned in August but he only just got his SSN card last week. We had so many issues trying to get it.

Could you describe the challenges you faced and how you were able to overcome them??

How long did it take you to get the SSN? And was it much longer than the EAD?

Hey. I am not sure if you have been tracking but the 24th just got declared a federal holiday by the president so the ASC offices will all be closed. Sorry

I did Biometrics 47 days ago. Since then I tried calliing tier 1,  live chat, spoke to tier 2 twice, 2 service requests unanswered, congressman inquiry, ombudsman inquiry; NOTHING works

Anything yet? When you spoke to them do they just say it could take forever or is there a timeline we should be watching?

My husband had his biometrics done 126 days ago...and his status still says “biometrics scheduled”. He’s called many times and all he has been told is “nothing can be done until normal processing time for AOS has passed”. They won’t even look into it. We have to wait until May at the earliest.

I’m just wanting the EAD at this point! I’m in Seattle so I know the AOS is going to take years. Had biometrics done 51 days ago and EAD and AOS still say fingerprints applied. I put in an outside normal processing time inquiry on the 3rd but am not optimistic that will result in anything.
