Hi everyone, my PD is May 3rd and I just finally got my biometrics scheduled for December 7th. However, I will be out of town for that date and most of December. While it is nice to finally hear an update on my case, has anyone been able to reschedule their biometrics appointment recently? How long did they get back with a new schedule?

I have kind of given up hope on making an inquiry with Tier1/2 USCIS agents because I've had multiple unanswered inquiries already. Has anybody tried successfully contacting their local ASC office for any matter?

First, I recommend trying to do an early walk-in with the notice in-hand and explain your circumstances:

If that doesn't work, you'll have to contact USCIS for a reschedule.

hi everyone, How long does it take when status changed to "New card produced". this is for the EAD. I just got a job offer, I don't know what to do.

Hi You should receive the card within one week. It might vary depending on the location. Mine was completed in a week. You should tell your employer about the situation and ask them to start after two weeks approximately.

Interview is December 15th! Anxious and excited at the same time.

Best of luck to you!!

I hope you get the same nice lady that we had. She really made the whole experience way less stressful than we thought it would be. I hope it’s the same for you.

So after an unsuccessful congressman inquiry we placed a service request online for case being outside normal processing time on November 4th. Last Monday we decided to call and try pleading our case to a tier 2 officer. When we called they said that no action was taken on our case, we asked if we could speak to a tier 2 officer. We were told that we can be placed in queue to get a call back in 7 days. Today an officer called back and was able to schedule us for a biometrics appt. Now we wait for the official notice in the mail. PD April 27th.  Jacksonville FL.

Further update, my appointment is scheduled for tomorrow and I still have not received the notice in mail or e-mail (as promised by the officer). They say you can download it online but I am not able to see any such option in my account. If anyone has had any experience with downloading the document, please share your inputs. Or if someone went to appointment without notice please share your experience.

On side note, I have been successful in speaking with human reps thrice today at USCIS. Sharing the tip that I used, when the AI asks you to state your concern just say you need technical assistance. She will keep saying I may help but if you say you don't need any of that but need technical assistance she will eventually catch up and ask if you are facing a tech issue, say yes and she will connect you to a human. Call between 9AM-10AM, least wait time.

How did everything work out for you? We they able to send the notice via email. I took your previous advice and was able to get an appointment scheduled over the phone. Thanks and best of luck.

Just updating I suppose. We contacted our congressman (helpful people, no complaints on them) and they made a request with USCIS inquiring about my wife's EAD and AP application. USCIS responded today and had the gall to say our receipt date of April 29, 2020, was "recent" and that they can't do anything because the case is in "pre-processing" and they're in the middle of "file creation." Like what the hell? 7 months and not even "pre-processed"? Anyone know if that's as bad as it sounds? Or are they basically just saying "well you haven't had biometrics yet so we can't expedite". Which is, of course, the entire problem. We don't want an expedited green card, just want to finally have the biometrics appt so something can move along finally...

You can do a service inquiry online since your case is outside normal processing time.
