My husband’s case has been stuck at “Biometrics scheduled” since July. We keep trying to speak to an agent but can’t through to an actual human.

He has his EAD & AP already but no progress on this AOS. His biometrics were for the 485, so I don’t understand why it’s just stuck here. It seems like something got lost. But we keep getting stuck in a loop talking to the automated system. It’s getting incredibly frustrating.

Any suggestions?

To speak to a soulless human try pressing # and # when you call their number. The first time they'll tell you they can understand complete sentences but don't say anything and it should get you through when you hit # a second time.

I just tried this. It doesn't work. The system just tells you it's going to hang up if you keep pressing buttons after the 2nd time.

We just had our biometrics appointment today. Took about 25 minutes. The letter we got was only for AP so when my wife got there, the USCIS employee was confused why we weren't scheduled for AOS and EAD biometrics but luckily was able to get them all done in the same visit.

At pong last, Congrats! I hope you get the same interviewer we got. We got so worked up over the interview, we’re completely over-prepared and wound up needing absolutely nothing we brought with us. She told us she didn’t even need to see our new pictures, bank statements, insurance, etc. Super smooth process. We wrote a review of it, if you’re interested.

Juat an update. Wifebchecked her case status, 485 shows fingerprints taken, 131 says approved and 765 now says approved (previously said card being produced). So all good news excpet im not aure why 765 would go from card being produced to " approved". Seems like a step back to me. Maybe they updated it in computer same time as 131 but card is still being produced. Tomorrow is her second biometrics appointment for form 131. Which is konda strange as well. Anyways thanks for others input on their journey!

They might have changed it I guess.. Weird because I tried on monday and it worked that way. I'll try to look around and see if I can find anything.

Hello,

My husband and I filed his AOS and EAD in April 2020 and it has been radio silence since then. We have yet to receive any requests for biometrics or anything. Is this normal? Are there any steps we can take to speed this up? We were thinking about getting a lawyer, but if there are suggestions of what we can do before involving a lawyer, that would be helpful too. We are in California if that’s helpful.

Thank you!

Same boat. Nothing has helped. I have reached out to the congressmen, ombudsman etc etc. Spoke with a lawyer too. It seems there is nothing but wait in our hands. I am just frustrated and have almost given up of seeing EAD this year.

Has anyone had an experience of no action on service request? My EAD is delayed beyond normal processing time and the last time I called they said they are raising a service request and I have to wait 30 days. The same has passed and now when I call USCIS they tell me all they can do is put in another request and I have to again wait for 30 days just to hear on it. What can be done in this case? Is there no way but to wait. I am on my 8th month of AOS now.

Interview was scheduled today! I think we are also getting the notice today, since USPS informed delivery shows something addressed to my husband.

Nothing to add except I'm in the same boat. No response on service request. No biometrics. Nothing works. Now I cant even get through to USCIS on the phone. It's hopeless and disheartening as we are going through a difficult situation financially with a new baby due in a few weeks. We would just be so grateful to get the EAD and don't even care if AOS takes a while at this point.
