but by the time the AOS interview gets to be scheduled we are over the 2 years of marriage.(NO AOS scheduled yet) Does this means no conditional GC for 2 years?

In that case, they should issue a regular 10-year GC. I say "should" because they sometimes make mistakes. If the wrong card is issued, you will have to submit an I-90 to correct it. Reason (D) is free to file; "My existing card has incorrect data because of Department of Homeland Security error." Their error would be giving you 2-year GC when you are not subject to INA 216.

Just wanted to drop in and say thank you for all of your encouragement as well as being here in times when this process was more than a little frustrating.

We had our AOS interview today in CLE, which we passed.

Here’s a link to our review of the process: https://www.visajourney.com/reviews/view-dos-cis-reviews.php?entry=28771

Have a great day!

Got it, I was under that impression I just wanted to confirm. At this point the waiting game is actually working on my side... 3 more months and I will be over the 2 year mark.

Hi everyone, Today I went for my 2nd bio-metric appointment code 2. It was smooth. I already have combo card.

Same here. we have our combo card but got a second biometric appointment. Went today for it and they just took one fingerprint and took his signature.

Same for us too! They said that it was good my husband came a second time since this appointment was “different” and travel specific.

Hello April filler with EAD/AP card in hand I have a question...

If when the AOS was filled we had under 2 years married, but by the time the AOS interview gets to be scheduled we are over the 2 years of marriage.(NO AOS scheduled yet) Does this means no conditional GC for 2 years?

Thanks!

I am in the same situation. Submitted my aos package on December 31,2018.

Interview was scheduled on November 9,2020

I have celebrated my 2nd anniversary in marriage. I hope, when approved for green card, i get a 10 years green card.

Like some of you, my husband received a letter for AP biometrics after receiving the combo card. He went for the initial biometrics on August 28 (that letter specified it was for the I485 and I765 and was code 3). He received his EAD/AP combo card on September 16. On October 17, we received the letter for his I131 (AP - code 2) biometrics appointment scheduled 11/13. We used the Emma chat function to find out if my husband actually needed to attend this biometrics appointment and they escalated the case to Tier 2 who called us back about 4 days later. The Tier 2 officer did confirm that he would need the additional biometrics screening and that his previous biometrics would not be applied - even though he has the combo card and his case has an "approved" status online. Hope this helps anyone in a similar situation?

Thank you so much for this information. It gives us some peace of mind. Yesterday my wifes case status for her form 765 changed to "card being produced" . Now we are thinking it will also include the advance parole aince we applied at same time. We  will still go to the biometrics aplointment as yhe tier 2 said but we hipe this card is the combo card as well

My husband’s case has been stuck at “Biometrics scheduled” since July. We keep trying to speak to an agent but can’t through to an actual human.

He has his EAD & AP already but no progress on this AOS. His biometrics were for the 485, so I don’t understand why it’s just stuck here. It seems like something got lost. But we keep getting stuck in a loop talking to the automated system. It’s getting incredibly frustrating.

Any suggestions?
