Hi Everyone,

I'm joining this thread from the March 2020 filers! I originally submitted beginning of March but have been rejected twice so far, filed for the third time on 4/21 so fingers crossed third time lucky! Good luck to everyone applying during this tricky time and congrats to everyone who has received acceptance so far :D

Hi thr, just curious did you end up sending the Green Letter that they ask specifically to send back with the new/corrected paperwork? What where the two reasons you got rejected? I am guessing the first was I-944 missing.

Hi! Yes I did include the green letter on top when I refiled. Actually the first time was because I had sent in the old version of the I-485 and had an incorrect check amount (accidentally mixed numbers around) and the second was due to my I-944 being incomplete (I had left a lot of spaces blank!) and I had missed a few pieces of evidence I needed that I overlooked the first time. I'm hoping that I didn't miss anything else this time around, there is so much paperwork! 😔

Oh okay. I did both of your mistakes in my first rejection; Outdated I-485 and missing  I-944. Anyways I am almost done but only one question. I am wondering what to put for question 15 D for the I-944. Did you check anything or left it blank, if you already have the insurance? I am planning to leaving it off explaining that I already have insurance.

Hi all, I sent off my AOS packet on the 14th and it was received by the USCIS on the 16th. But no NOAs as of yet so I've been fretting about it.

So I have been reading the filing tips and apparently single-sided documents should be sent? Didn't know that and sent everything double-sided (wanted to reduce amount of paper used). Do you guys know if this would cause delays, RFEs, or rejections? Thanks all!

Except for the forms I sent everything else double sided. I got the texts yesterday and had mailed the packet on 16th and was received on 17. Hopefully you get your texts soon.

Getting ready to submit AOS and was curious what everyone else did. My DS-3025 medical was just done in Jan.2020. Do I really need to spend $350 USD to get the info transferred!

Did everyone here get the 1-693 or did you file with the DS-3025??

I checked no, as I currently have health insurance (in that I am not enrolled and waiting for health coverage to start). The "yes, I am enrolled" and "I will soon enroll" would be if you didn't already have active health insurance (I think). I was confused as to what to answer for that as well, as the wording was a little confusing and I was paranoid about leaving anything unanswered. Could definitely be wrong, but that's what I did!

Also, I've called USICS two times and plan to call back again tomorrow if there's still nothing.  The second time they gave the email address for the Chicago Lockbox Support.  I emailed them on Monday and still nothing.  In case any of you want the email address, here it is:  lockboxsupport@uscis.dhs.gov

The USCIS customer service rep said to include in the email:  my name and DOB, spouses name and DOB, date sent to lockbox, and mailing address.

I've seen a few people in the March AOS forum who have still not received anything either.  Hoping they're just moving really slow.

Oh no, sorry I can see how that looks confusing. I got rejected because I sent it without I-944. I was just showing frustration to get the equivalency done even though I have a US degree. I debated not doing it because my other transcript/certificates are also in English but I-944 Instructions specifically say to provide so.

Just out of curiosity, why did have to do the equivalency done even with a US degree?

the instruction says the equivalency should be done for foreign education. it does not say that we should do it for a U.S. degree.

"diploma or whether you have a higher degree. If you did not graduate high school, list the highest grade completed. Also, list all educational programs you attended in the space provided, such as high school, college, or other higher education. Provide the name of the program or school, the degree or certificate received, if any, the field of study, and the start and end dates. Enter your degree program start date and end date in mm/dd/yyyy format. If your degree program does not start and end on a specific day (i.e. “dd”), provide your best estimate of the day. If it is available, you must provide evidence of any degrees or certifications received, such as transcripts, diplomas, degrees, and trade profession certificates or equivalent (if this evidence is unavailable, you should provide an explanation and, if possible, evidence of unavailability such as a letter from the issuing institution). Foreign education should include an evaluation of equivalency to education or degrees acquired at accredited colleges, universities, or educational institutions in the United States. For a list of organizations that provide equivalency evaluation, see the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), at http://www.naces.org/members.htm. "

If you took ALL required immunizations then your 3025 will suffice. Look down in the lower left corner of your 3025 if complete it will say it there. I don't remember the exact verbiage but it's there IF you took ALL shots.
