PD 28 April, no biometric, no update whatsoever. When did your field office open? The last time I spoke with USCIS they told me there is nothing anyone can do unless the 90 day timeframe since the offices opened passes. Mine apparently reopened on Jul 15 so I have no option but to wait until Oct 15. Its in like 2 days and there is no chance I can get an appointment in two days.

Im in the same situation as you! Today is the 90 days after they reopen. I am going to call tomorrow to find out the answer.

Glad to hear that!

I also got approved on the spot and my case status hasn't changed yet, so I started to worry.

Thanks for your information 😉

I wish the lucky folks interviewed for AOS shared their experience here.

How does it happen, approval on the spot? The officer just says at the end, “You are approved”? Did you get your passport stamped? What questions were you asked? What bona fide documents did you show? Did the officer keep any of them?

Goodluck for tomorrow. Hope it works out fine. I have no idea why some cases are so delayed. Majority of the cases here seem to have had EAD and some even green card. Let us know how it goes tomorrow and what was the update and action.

You already asked me that and I already answered it. Just scroll two pages back.

Not sure it will affect anyone here but on the chance it does and you missed it, it seems you can apply for premium processing for any EAD now? Unless I misunderstood, in which someone please correct me!

No. USCIS still hasn't implemented that law nor has announced it's proposal on how to implement it.

"it is likely that USCIS will need several weeks before the agency can implement the necessary internal changes to begin accepting premium processing requests for the expanded categories."

I filled I-130 and I-485 in April 2020. I received biometrics apt for next week.

The problem is that they sent a request for initial evidence 4 months ago and I never received it. I'm unsure if my case is stuck and why they are asking for biometrics.

I wonder if anyone has experienced this. Case is still with NBC

Do you mean you haven’t received the letter for your request for initial evidence?

You need to call USCIS asap and ask them to resend the letter. They will be waiting to receive the missing evidence.

Calling won't help, the automatic messaging system just directs you to the website. I did submit the request on the online system, and it says they are supposed to respond by Nov 6. I guess I'll have to wait till then.

I don't mind if the case is delayed, since my mom has no plans to work or travel. I just worry about the case getting declined because we didn't reply in time. I think if I-130 get's approved I can resubmit or appeal on the denial decision.

First - I would not be so relaxed in your place by waiting until the deadline to contact USCIS.

Second - You have other options of contact USCIS, not only by telephone (if you you were not able to reach a person through their automatic system).

Third - If you get a denial on your AOS, yes... you can resubmit everything again (starting from zero - paying everything again - remember higher fees now - , resubmitting all the updated documents and forms again), not a delay problem anymore but you can be considered unlawful present in US until you figure everything out and have a new NOA1 in your hands.

For April filers who have done your biometrics, how long did it take from your I-485 biometrics to "case is ready to be scheduled for an interview?" Our receipt date is 4/15 and we did our biometrics on 8/28. We received our AP/EAD card a few weeks ago but I-485 is still stuck on "fingerprints received."
