Im sorry if this is a dumb question... but how do we know which service centre our interview will be conducted in? I live in Arizona, and I assumed my biometrics would be in Phoenix, but they were actually in Las Vegas coz that's closer to my home. Does that mean my interview will be scheduled in Vegas too?

This is surprisingly hard to find online. Bottom of this page: https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-a-uscis-office/field-offices

Same thing for us! The EAD status updated to "New card is being produced" around 5:00 pm CT today (9/10). We filed on April 3 and received the NOA on April 13. Biometrics appointment was on August 28 in Houston. We did not expedite.

AOS changed to "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" one week after the biometrics appointment, but the AP status is still 'Case was received'.

Things are finally moving - great news for the April filers!

Me too!

Package received 4/7, NOA was dated 4/17

I-130 still "received" 4/7

Biometrics in Seattle on 8/26

I-131 still "updated to show fingerprints were taken" since 8/26

I-485 ready to schedule for interview since 9/3

I-765 "New Card is Being Produced" 9/11

Good timing since I had to stop working after my TN status expired this week. My employer's immigration lawyer was looking at expediting but I don't think that went anywhere.

May I ask when is your interview at Seattle office? Also did you apply for Family or employment based?

Hello everyone,

My Priority Date is April 3rd 2020, and USCIS has sent me nothing since NOA1. (I submitted I-130, I-765, I-485, etc)

I filed to Chicago Lockbox and the NOA1 was sent to me from National Benefits Center in Missouri.

I called several times and they always tell me to just keep waiting, but I see that other people with similar priority dates got progress months ago.

Is there anything else I should be doing??

Thank you

i am in the exact situation as you. recipt date is april 3, 2020 and sent conplete packet. no biometrix appoinment sent yet. :( i just sent a case inquiry for outside normal processing time. hopefully i get some answers

Hey we have the same NOA1 date and I've just received an update on my case about EAD card being produced too. Congratulations!

Ok guys....here it some great news for all April 2020 AOS Filers:

My wifey’s card status changed today to “New Card Being Produced”. It changed just moments ago (at about 5pm PST). Status went from “Case was updated to show Fingerprints were taken and applied to case” to “New Card Being Produced”. The advance parole application still says “Case was updated to show Fingerprints were taken”. We will wait to see if it comes as a Combo Card but I am fairly confident that it will 😄. I filed on March 28th, 2020 and USCIS Received our case (NOA date of) April 1st, 2020. Thus it looks like we are the 1st April 2020 filers to get approved without any expedite request.
I will keep you all posted to confirm that it is indeed a combo card once we receive it. Good luck and I hope that this paves the way for April EAD/AP approvals!!

Hi everyone,

So here is another update for you guys. Today around 2:30pm PST the case Status‘ on both the EAD as well as on the AP went to “Case has been Approved” and a letter will be mailed out to you. Then again today at 5pm PST the status on the EAD changed again to “Card was mailed to me”.

Ah Seattle! I’m in Seattle too with a PD date of 04/14 and still haven’t received a biometrics appointment and am getting anxious. You didn’t expedite? You’re the first Seattle April filer I’ve seen with progress - not sure if it makes me feel better or worse!

they sent our first NOA that they received it around April 10, 2020

Its a K-1 Visa, not sure what yours is, or if they make a difference,

We got a Bio appointment about 3 weeks ago.   no RFE.   so April to August was our first update.

Fort Worth, Texas.

Thanks for the reply. Mine is employment based and I am at Seattle WA. Whatever USCIS is so random and inefficient :(

My wife and stepson received their biometric appointment letters yesterday. We sent the AOS packet off April 13 and officially got our notice May 27.

Appointment is dated for the first week of August! Excited that things are moving along now.

Just noticed an unexpected update to my wife's and stepsons cases. EAD was updated 39 days ago to show the fingerprints being taken. AP still stuck as case received since we submitted. Yesterday their AOS got updated to interview scheduled, not sure on the date yet but excited to get that letter in the mail. We did not expedite anything either.  Hoping the date isn't too far out.

Not scheduled yet, just ready to schedule - family-based (married to US citizen).

USCIS processing times say 12 to 35.5 months for family-based I-485 in Seattle so I'm ready to wait a long time after I get the combo card.

Hoping that gets mailed out early next week...

Tmac88 - I don't think we formally made an expedite request. My employer's lawyer apparently called and emailed about my case but I haven't seen anything about that in my case status. Seems like USCIS just got to my case naturally.

That's so great that your interview has been scheduled!! Do you have the date yet?

I hope more interviews for April filers are scheduled soon 🤞

Not yet. I'm hoping the letters arrive sometime this week but not really sure if usps is still having delays. I'm happy to skip the whole ap/ead card if it means they could be getting there GC's sooner.

Also hoping that I will be able to join my wife and step son to there interviews but not sure if they are allowing that these day.

Anyways, I will update here once I get the details

Congrats on the interview! You need to join them, at least my husband needs to join me the 17th.

Also, maybe you can sign up for informed delivery by USPS. I did this and I saw my invite for the interview was supposed to arrive but USPS didn't deliver it for some reason so I contacted USCIS after and they send me a copy. That way you just know what mail you get every day.
