Hello everyone,

My Priority Date is April 3rd 2020, and USCIS has sent me nothing since NOA1. (I submitted I-130, I-765, I-485, etc)

I filed to Chicago Lockbox and the NOA1 was sent to me from National Benefits Center in Missouri.

I called several times and they always tell me to just keep waiting, but I see that other people with similar priority dates got progress months ago.

Is there anything else I should be doing??

Thank you

I hope you are right,

I just spoke with an USCIS advisor - I can expect 30-36 Months for EAD-

I had requested expedite on my application for EAD  since submitting the  application to the lockbox facility.

It was not applied during the processing at the lockbox facility - they lost my application for 30 days.

After finally receiving a receipt number i called to request an expedite-

This was all denied due covid19 and lack of biometrics

After my Biometrics appointment 14th of august i have continually tried to get an update on my expedite request.

i keep being advised that a request is in and you will receive an answer within 5 days...

Since the 14th of august i still have not received any update.

I have registered for callbacks from tier 2 multiple occasions but no callback received.

keeping positive is difficult beyond meassure - having confidence in the Process and USCIS is even more difficult at this stage.

how do you guys cope.... Vodka - Whiskey  Yoga Stand up paddling ???

I am afraid i will end up spilling  my drink glas of the paddle board whilst doing downward facing dog salute to the sun.....

I'm not really sure if it's seriously going to take 30-36 months just for an EAD. I think that they are posting that to not have people asking too much and kind of scaring people off. If March was processed and they are finally getting to April, we should receive something soon.

I filed on 4/23 and still waiting for my biometrics letter. Try to stay as positive as you can ... I know it's hard right now :(

I am an Aug filler. An update for my and my wife’s cases. They were received from USCIS on Aug 18th. Receipt notice was mailed 1st of Sep.

Interesting is that I-131 and I-765 status is case was received. But for I-485 status is “fingerprint fee was received”.

Does anyone know if that means that they plan to send me a mail with biometrics appointment? Weird is that this is only updated to my I-485 case and not at the other two (I-131 and I-765).

pretty sure thats just how it goes,  ours was that way till we got our bio appointment in September.  You'll either get an biometerics appointment or a RFE. just be patient, i wouldn't expect it anytime soon.

Thanks for the reply. How long did it take for you to get a biometric appointment after "fingerprints fee was received'? Btw which city is your ASC?

Ok guys....here it some great news for all April 2020 AOS Filers:

My wifey’s card status changed today to “New Card Being Produced”. It changed just moments ago (at about 5pm PST). Status went from “Case was updated to show Fingerprints were taken and applied to case” to “New Card Being Produced”. The advance parole application still says “Case was updated to show Fingerprints were taken”. We will wait to see if it comes as a Combo Card but I am fairly confident that it will 😄. I filed on March 28th, 2020 and USCIS Received our case (NOA date of) April 1st, 2020. Thus it looks like we are the 1st April 2020 filers to get approved without any expedite request.
I will keep you all posted to confirm that it is indeed a combo card once we receive it. Good luck and I hope that this paves the way for April EAD/AP approvals!!

they sent our first NOA that they received it around April 10, 2020

Its a K-1 Visa, not sure what yours is, or if they make a difference,

We got a Bio appointment about 3 weeks ago.   no RFE.   so April to August was our first update.

Fort Worth, Texas.

Day after my biometrics the status updated to: "Fingerprints Taken"

A few days later my I-485 status changed to: "Case is Ready to be Scheduled for An Interview"

Exactly my husband’s situation, too.

Now, the wait for the interview depends ONLY on how busy a field office is, correct?

Same for US and still waiting EAD and advance parole. We have also the same doubt: How long we will have to wait for the interview?

I’m so sorry to hear that. I hope that you get your biometrics appointment soon. Have you tried calling? If not, call and ask to be transferred to a tier 2 agent. I’ve heard that NYC is a little back up in scheduling biometric appointments. Good luck and please let us know what happens with your case.

Same thing for us! The EAD status updated to "New card is being produced" around 5:00 pm CT today (9/10). We filed on April 3 and received the NOA on April 13. Biometrics appointment was on August 28 in Houston. We did not expedite.

AOS changed to "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" one week after the biometrics appointment, but the AP status is still 'Case was received'.

Things are finally moving - great news for the April filers!

Im sorry if this is a dumb question... but how do we know which service centre our interview will be conducted in? I live in Arizona, and I assumed my biometrics would be in Phoenix, but they were actually in Las Vegas coz that's closer to my home. Does that mean my interview will be scheduled in Vegas too?
