hello, i hipe tonget some peace of mond here. my wife filed for aos, ead, advace parole all together back in march 2020. we got a RFE and returned everything and got our NOA for the 3 appicaltioms on april 8 2020. there has been no udates on her case staus and was wondering if she just needs to keep waiting? the document ahe is most worried about is the advance parole. is there a number we can call or should we give it more time? we are living in orlando. any feedback is appreciated

Unfortunately everything is taking more time with COVID and the budget problems at USCIS. You can always call for an update (ask to speak to a Tier 2 agent) to make sure nothing else is missing on your case. Next step is to receive a biometrics appointment.

My husband received his EAD card today but it didn't include the AP. I found that pretty strange. Our AP status still says "case received" and the AOS status says "biometrics scheduled".

Should we inquire about the AP? I thought they were supposed to be on the same card?

Is it the notice stating that an AP is attached to the work permit?

No, it specifically says that it can’t be used for recently into the US, it is only an EAD card.

Did you expedite to get the EAD? Maybe because your request was work related and not travel related urgency that is all they approved?

No, we didn’t expedite anything. We’re not in any rush. We actually wanted the AP more than EAD. I was really surprised we got the EAD so fast to be honest.

Not sure if we should call and ask about the AP and why it wasn’t done together.

Wow, that was fast for no expedite. That is concerning though did you file concurrently like it says too for both? If you had a lawyer make sure they filed EAD/AP together.

From looking at your timeline it seems you applied for EAD and AP at different times then when you applied for AOS? If so I believe this is the reason for why everything will be seperate, I may be wrong but I believe when you file all together fees are waived and everything is run concurrently therefore resulting in the combo card?

We filed EAD later because we didn’t know about it unfortunately. We didn’t pay any fees as we filed them after we received our NOA1 for the AOS.

It’s just strange that our biometrics said it covered the AOS & EAD, but not AP. Especially since the EAD was filed last.

I’m guessing they’ll be able to use the fingerprints from that for the AP when they’re ready to work on it. I just hope that our AP didn’t get lost in the system. It’s not showing up on my husband’s USCIS account, but the AOS & EAD are listed.

It was code 3 and it specifically said it was for the 485 & 765.

That was the only biometrics he has done.

I wouldn't worry too much in that case. Is the online status showing as "Fingerprints applied to your application"?

It doesn't change for everybody apparently so that by itself isn't necessarily something to worry about... Just to verify - they took all ten of his fingerprints when he visited?
