GC was to be delivered today - however I received NO GC but an tracking notice Insufficient adress data - 

despite receiving EAD a few weeks ago and my NOA letter from USCIS was delivered to my adress today - 

 

csrd is now being returned to USCIS - I have already submittet request for a new one - but was advise to get a responce by April 30 th - 

 

i am loosing my mind ……
 

 

 

Are you kidding?! I’m so sorry. This process is just a nightmare till the very end, isn’t it?!

 

I’ve never heard of a notice for “insufficient address data” before. Please keep us posted and let us know when you have the card safely in hand!

Two weeks ago my case was moved to 'Ready to be scheduled for interview'. Last Thursday it was changed to 'Interview has been scheduled' and according to informed delivery, that letter should be arriving in my mailbox today. Fingers crossed!!

Interview scheduled for the end of the month. Should be fun - I previously had a green card but relinquished it as we moved overseas for several years. Married for 14 years and we have a 13 yr old and an 11 yr old. I wonder how they will digest that.

Finally got approved this week almost exactly 24 months after filing (at the San Francisco Office). Approval was one day after the interview. Thanks be to God!

We filed a Writ of Mandamus in December. That appeared to speed up the combo card renewal and the scheduling for an interview although they waited until one day after the legal response period to do so (61 long days).

 

The attorney for USCIS in Missouri (NBC) filed a Motion to Dismiss saying 35.5 months (upper limit of SF waiting times, which previously was 44 months) was a reasonable period to wait before filing a mandamus! We counter-argued and a judge is reviewing that.

 

I found it ridiculous that the wait time in SF for an interview should be equal to or longer than the wait period (3 years) to acquire citizenship – not to mention the gross inequality of people's results and paths to citizenship depending upon their geography.

Hi everyone - we are preparing for our interview, which is scheduled on May 18. I know this has been discussed throughout VJ, but wanted to see if any of you had encountered issues with your DS-3025 vaccination records during your interviews, since the new COVID vaccine requirement was put in place? My husband was a K1 visa holder and had his medical done in Oct. 2019. We filed for AOS at the end of April 2020 - well before the medical's one-year mark. I know @Viking was asked to do a new medical despite meeting these same requirements, so I'm curious if anyone else was asked to do the same thing.

 

Right now, we're just planning to bring his DS-3025 and COVID vaccination card.

I was in the same position and ended up getting a whole new medical ahead of the interview. It ended up not being a problem (wasn’t even asked about it) but I’ve seen other people who’ve been asked for a new one. It’s totally up to you and whatever you feel most comfortable with.

Before our interview, an agent called us to remind us that the medical was over one year old and that we would need an updated one. Luckily, we already had an appointment to get another medical. There are certain vaccinations and tests that need to be updated. My wife and child had to have a blood test, and we had to go to Rite Aid to get a couple of booster shots. If you go without the new medical, you might be delayed in getting the green card because you'll have to do this after the interview. I'd recommend that you do the physical before the interview, but apparently some people are not asked for it. For us, it was definitely required.

Thanks for this! Were you notified because the medical was over a year old at the time you filed for AOS? Or did they say that it had to be updated because it was more than a year old by time of your interview?

 

Prior to the updated vaccination requirement, I was always under the assumption that the DS-3025 would be valid at the time of the interview as long as AOS was filed within its one-year expiration.

I was in the same situation as you. My medical record was not expired so I just bring the Covid vaccine card with me during the interview. They didn't ask the vaccine card not even mentioned. I would say if your medical exam is not expired, I would just bring the vaccine card just incase they want to check.

Thank you so much for sharing! If the medical exam wasn’t so expensive, we would have scheduled one to be safe. But I really don’t want to drop hundreds of dollars for nothing.

I was told that the DS-3025 had to be less than one year before the interview. I had the same confusion as you. I found a medical office that was reasonably priced and made an appointment for a week before the interview. I wasn't sure if it was necessary until the day before the appointment when we received a courtesy call from the agent saying we needed it

Thank you for sharing! How frustrating. That literally goes against the policy in place. I wish they were consistent across the board and left little room for confusion.

Yeah, I ran into several problems with form versions and confusing rules. I remember going to the office where you do the biometrics and being asked for our marriage certificate when that was not on the list of items to bring. Luckily, I had brought all of our documents just in case. You just have to expect the unexpected and adapt to whatever they want. I'd have to check our timeline, but our interview was about a year ago. Maybe some requirements have changed. If they don't accept your medical, I believe you can go get it done afterward. Good luck!

I had my interview yesterday. Pretty straight forward - just asked for ID's, my passport and my EAD card and then a few questions from the I-485 form to confirm what I had written. He also asked for my medical (which he never opened). After 20 minutes he said that was all good and he would make his decision later that day after he had checked the medical and we left.

 

One hour later, I had an email to say my green card was being produced. Yay!

 

Honestly, given this has taken 2 years almost to the day, I was a little underwhelmed. There was more excitement getting my EAD and it's renewal but I am glad this is all done. I hope the process is a little faster when I come to apply for my naturalization in 3 years.
