Hi everyone - Is there any one left in the forum for April 2020AOS - it is getting Quiet

Hi Viking,

mice been lurking for the past few weeks hoping that people would at least see their status changed. What’s the status with yours?

it’s been almost a month now that my status changed to ready to be scheduled, but they still haven’t set up the appointment.

Only change after Biometrics in August 2020 is expedite request recived -

no movement at all on the case … so frustrating but hopefully it will mean a 10 year Card and no requirement for lifting restrictions…

lets see..

Still here, still stuck on fingerprints taken since August 2020. We are also waiting on our EAD/AP renewal, which has been stuck in received since early April.

We have been waiting since May and have been stuck on “received” as well. Someone on the “May 2020 Filers” thread said they finally got an approved notification today. He applied on May 17, so hopefully that means USCIS is finally making their way through people who filed within our timeframe.

Update to all still stuck - My case is finally approved and card is being produced(10 year GC). Had my interview on 9th and very basic questions and the officer was very chill. Although my case was stuck like you all for the longest time on fingerprints were taken since Aug 2020. The only thing that worked is contacting through congressman twice. First time in March of this year and then second follow up in Nov. Few days after the second response(generic kind) the ball started to move. Hope you all get it through and let me know if you have any questions.

Hey guys, my status just changed to interview scheduled. @Rambava, how did u find ur interview date? Also I think you must be fully vaccinated in order to get ur medical done.

Hi there sorry just seeing your question. I am pretty sure you are probably done with your interview already but if not I chatted with Emma and then later received the letter as well. Also you don't have to be fully vaccinated if you have already submitted the I 693 with the application which I did. It expired two years after the signed date which for me would have been April 2022. So no issues of me being not vaccinated in getting the approval at all.

Things happened very rapidly for me as well. I was scared of my EAD extension running out so I reached out to my Congressman for help.

Got my EAD approved within a week, received my new EAD card last Saturday, and I wake up today to see my status got changed to 'ready to be scheduled'. Later at 3pm, I got another notification that my interview was scheduled by my field office for next month. Whirlwind!

Not sure to be happy that it is FINALLY scheduled or a little miffed that its scheduled 2 months before I am eligible for the 10 year green card....

Hello,

I've not hear anything since March 2021 they issued my EAD. I just file the EAD extension. Does anyone in April case still waiting for the interview? How long the EAD extension will take? I will lose my job if I can't get my new card or greencard when my current EAD expired. :(

If your EAD was issued in March 2021, which means it will expire on March 2022. But since you filed for renewal in a timely manner, you get an automatic 180 extension of your EAD, which will take you to September 2022.

Good news on the EAD card

I too am hoping for an interview date after the eligibility for the 10 year green card -

atleast you get to follow up on another application to remove the limitation for A year a two - gotta love the USCIS process….

Congrats on things moving on finally! And yes once it starts going it goes very quick. It still hasnt sunk in that I have a green card for next 10 years. lol. Also regarding the 10 years, yes it would be a bummer because you waited so long to get to the interview phase. But maybe there is a chance that you are so close he might just give you a 10 year one. Finger's crossed.
