You need a certified copy (the kind with the raised seal) for the interview. Not sure about the marriage certificate, it's possible some consulates require it. You will also need a certified copy of the divorce decree when you eventually file AOS (speaking from experience).

Get at least 3 Certified copies of ALL documents that apply to you and your mates case.

You can always make photo copies of them.

It can be a ###### getting them later if you should need them.

I recommend keeping them in separate SAFE places.

Fires, floods, thefts or just losing them happens!

They are basically GOLD! But perisable!

Assuming you are the foreigner, yes, get at least three copies of your birth certificate, divorce decree(s) and marriage certificate. For the petition, photocopies of these documents are ok. For the interview, you want to have both photocopies and originals on hand.

It is unlikely you'll need to surrender any of the originals until you Adjust status but it is good to have multiples.
