Congratulations!!! That is awesome news.

I keep checking our status. But after they canceled our interview and changed the status back to "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" it has not changed again, at least not yet. I still hope that they will issue my wife's green card without an interview.

But, I don't want to set my expectations too high just in case they do not do so.

I’m in the same boat. Was supposed to have interview April 2nd was cancelled then on mar 28 went to ready to be scheduled for interview!  Sarge has me having hope as they were the same field office and he got waived.  We all could use this good news!!

Hey Joe! I followed your timeline and noticed our cases are in the same field office and my original interview date was a few dates behind yours. I was hoping for the same thing too but certainly don't want to get my hopes up :) stay healthy and keep our fingers crossed!

yeah youd imagine so ! and i doubt theyll be anything close to full capacity once open, theyll have to enforce social distancing measures still. They could be under pressure to "clear the decks" of applications they can waiver so they can get all the other stuff done.

Oh wow! I didn’t see that. I truly hope so!!! It would be such a blessing to have that weight lifted off our shoulders, especially in such hard times we’re living in.

If the application has been reviewed to the point of an interview being scheduled and enough supportive evidence has been provided, they could just go ahead and approve the cases.

Praying for all of us 🙏🏾

Yeah you don't have go to a interview for the GC to be approved. But USCIS did say that if you didn't have a interview for AOS then you will get one for ROC.

What is ROC?

Removal of conditions. If you’re married for less than 2 years you get a 2 year green card.

After the ROC process you receive a 10 year green card.

Removal of conditions. If you have been married for less than 2 years when you get the green card it will be a 2 year card where you must remove the conditions and provide more evidence to the USCIS.

I am wondering they extended until June 3rd so they can start sending interview/bio notifications again. Usually they send out these notifications 3-6 weeks ahead. I believe once June 4 comes they are ready to start all over, instead of waiting another month (~july 4) to have these in person appt. I am hoping to start seeing in May a movement here with applicants receiving in person appt notifications by mail for june visits.

I believe we should start seeing that this week. While the office was closed in early April my interview was rescheduled for May, only to be cancelled again.

They might start rescheduling the interviews and depending on how we progress with the pandemic, they will take place or are going to be cancelled, if the closures are extended once again.

I’m still wishful thinking of more waivers taking place... We shall see.

anyone here who got approved in adjustment of status from being k1 then receiving a 10 year gc instead of 2 year conditional?

If so that could be definitely an error! Best to talk to USCIS on that one.
