Hello all,

Just wondering, when filling out my details on the cgifederal site to apply for my USA K1 visa interview at the Sydney consulate, it is asking for a Case ID and Priority Date.

where do I find these? is the Priority date the date on the USCIS Receipt number? And is the priority date the date the USCIS approved my I-129F petition?

Thankyou :)

Priority date isn't a thing for K-1.  Do you have your case # from NVC?  Since there are no interviews occurring at the moment, my guess is that Sydney scheduling is deferred.

Priority date is the RECEIVED date on your NOA1, that is what NVC states. But, the priority date is not used with the K-1 visa, you could enter any date you want and it wouldn't matter.

Thankyou. I had thought this was the case, but I have seen very conflicting info on this and wanted to be 100% :)

I found the case number amongst all my visa stuff haha.

Yeah I just wanted to get all my ducks in a row while I have the down time so at least I can have everything ready, and I can't do the medical if I don't pay the fees so I figured I'd get a jump on it.

Also, is it just the one fee we have to pay? Or are there any other ones I don't know about?

You have two fees. One is the interview fee and the other is the medical fee. Usually, the medical fee will include vaccinations but if done outside the medical exam then there is the vaccination charge.

Here is the Mother Goose requirements (since you are getting your ducks in a row) for your interview preparations.

It's often the case that when there's no real correct answer for K-1s (because a question on a form is really irrelevant for them, but the form doesn't explicitly say so), you'll find lots of conflicting information online about what to fill in there.

Doen anyone also know the correct link to book my appointment?

After I click the link to "book my appointment", it takes me to a page to pay my fee, gives me a receipt, but does not take me to anywhere to book my appointment

All interview appts have been cancelled,  plus right now NO ONE can make an appt, which should explain why you can't

New information is just yesterday a VJ member was able to schedule an interview appointment with their embassy, which was verified by phone to the embassy that the scheduling has reopened, and she went forward and schedule for a date in June which is one of the open months of June and July.

Really!  All embassy or just in selected countries?   Manila has been locked down tighter that a frogs butt, in fact they have been sending emails to "applicants" letting them know that nothing is going on until May (as of this moment)

Thanks for the info

I wonder if they are starting to schedule even without a clear re-opening date, just for work-flow purposes.

I think a few reasons can be pinned to this. One being what you have indicated. Two, those countries that have not experience the level of "infection" as others will open sooner. Three, is always who knows!
