Yep, he ignored all the experts.  This is laughable considering he is following Drs. Fauci and Birx and many of the supposed expert models to the extreme as far as he can do.  But I get it, Orange Man Bad.

In this case, yes, orange man bad. He was also going to restart the economy on Easter even though experts disagreed with it, so no, he doesn't listen to experts.

So what about Cuomo, Newsom, Insley, etc?  For that matter where is the criticism of the EUs response where there is something like 35k deaths so far?  I am not blaming any of them because how does one prepare for a pandemic?  How many ventilators and PPE should have been put in reserve?  How often should this reserve be updated as this material obsoleted?  The simple fact is all governments are reactionary in nature, and it would not have mattered who was in the WH, the response would have been similar.  The thing I am looking for from President Trump is when will this be over and when people can get back to work.  Many countries have responded to this rather well (South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, etc.) without shutting down business, and as has been said before, we don’t need an action that will be worst than the cure.

It was a goal, not a mandate. There were (and are) a lot of balls in the air, and the President, any president, must process a lot of information as it is thrown at them from many different sources. Yes he missed the mark on this particular goal. And he owned it, and he backed down from it. But you lefties continue to hammer away, as if Easter were a go-back-to-work edict and non-compliance means a trip to the gulags. (never mind that gulags are a leftist construct)

But no matter. Despite the fake news attacks, your lot have ensured Mr. Trump an easily won second term in November.

Well I'm fairly heavy on criticism on the UK and other countries that did not prepare or seemingly never prepared. I guess I just never thought or expected that I would see this country so very not prepared for something like this. What made me more annoyed yesterday was when Kushner basically got up there and said "oh our stuff isn't for you guys.. it's for us". Us? And whom might us be, buddy? Maybe he misspoke or maybe he's a complete idiot, but if I were the POTUS i'd have dragged that kid out the door by his ear so fast and told him to never speak ever again. How many should have been in reserve? I don't know, but it needed to be, both collectively for every state and federally more than we have. It's further upsetting that the stuff we've been sending to the states is inferior, moldy, or broken. Who looks after this stuff? While other countries have handled this far better - they handled it better because they excelled in clear areas we failed. Testing, supplies, and health care preparedness. Singapore is actually getting worse and shutting things down now. Taiwan still seems to have a great handle on things.

What amazes me is that NY State only has about 13,000 hospital beds across the entire state.  CA and TX have double that, heck even Michigan has over 10,000.

Doesn't surprise me. CA and TX are *big* states and have a lot more wealth coming in. Funding has long been a problem for that state and hospitals when they needed it. I really feel for communities that have no hospital for miles because they closed up. Listening to DE Gov. Carney's conference. He's basically saying they've got *a lot* of patients they've had to accept from border states and counties because they had no room or the patient traveled to their hospital looking for better care. If you get a test done at their hospital you can get results in 24hrs. But if you're asking Quest or Labcorp you're waiting days if not weeks ontop of the waiting time for an appointment.

Considering that that has nothing to do with connection quality or speed, I'm going to assume that you didn't know. You're welcome, I hope this tech tip helps you avoid clicking links in scam emails in the future. 😛

Anyway, if this helps, here's an ugly full link because apparently using Invision's functionality the way it's supposed to be used is highly suspicious for some reason: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/coronavirus-video-trump-pandemic-team-cut-2018-a9405191.html

It actually does because the network I was on is very slow to say the least. There are many things that work on my computer/network at home that don't work while I am at work. As I said previously I do work at a federal job behind their firewall.

Also you probably don't know this like the regulars do but I work in IT as a InfoSec/SysAdmin, not to mention I got my undergrad degree in IT, and I am going back for my 2nd IT degree as we speak at a more prestigious school.

He's running a country. Not a business. If it was a business it would've already gone under like most of his other businesses. Oh wait.

When you say "most of"... how many is that, exactly.  I mean, as a ratio like xx/yy businesses have failed.  Asking for a friend who appreciates actual numbers over hyperbole.

If I can see the link and it's not misleading, it doesn't bother me. I understand it's not apparent on some devices, in which case I don't click.

We had a discussion about it, it's hard because so many of us use embedded links for convenience (my signature for example, haha) but in most cases, it's just better to copy/paste the full URL.
