And fax, not that many still use it.

Agree, it was certainly asked about at my interview, I have seen a few say they were not but not sure how common that is.

We never submitted any documentation at our AOS interview. We had everything, expecting we would be asked. We had not shown anything regarding income since the K1 interview in my husband's home country a year before (we waited a while before entering the US so a lot of time had passed). But all the IO asked for was my husband's current address and then the "yes/no" questions about felonies, terrorism, etc. The IO never asked for any proof of anything at all and we didn't show any proof of income. This may not be normal, but this was our experience.

OP I am so sorry this unexpected turn of events happened at this time. I wish I had word of advice but I completely empathize with you!

I used assets, so I guess mine was issued in error.

I plan to use assets too. I haven't worked in seven years. Should I bring printouts of my brokerage account statements or is the fact that my tax transcripts show about $50,000 a year in dividends and capital gains sufficient?

I would take everything, spreadsheet as a summary, probably that will be the only thing they look at but impossible to say. At least that way you are prepared, just a bigger bag.

You must have submitted an I 864, they would never have let you pass with an I 134.

I agree with Boiler.  Take everything.  It is likely they won't ask to see much of it, but better to be prepared than not.

I always think of the Norse as the saga makers, however the Welsh do have theirs, just not so prolific. London allows K1 to self sponsor so it seemed logical to carry on. Not that I would recommend a K1, a mistake, did not at the time know better.

Agreed.  Btw, I love Wales.  Spent some time near Aberystwyth.  I love how Welsh sounds spoken on TV,  like English not quite heard right.

I am a bit of a mongrel, but my Welsh side is from the Valleys. My Welsh is limited to that I remember being used by my Gran, although my Grandfather has a much stronger brogue to the extent many of my friends found him difficult to understand. My Mum never learnt it. Not sure many of her generation did.

It is lovely to the ear.  I was lucky to have left the US at 17, in search of adventure.  Back when that was a safe and affordable endevour.....

One of the few times I’m actually glad my husband is self employed. The work might have slowed right down, but he can’t be laid off by anyone.

Is there a chance your company will hire you back in the future? Maybe they would be willing to provide some kind of letter stating that you will have your job back eventually? Also, loss of a job and medical coverage qualifies you for open enrolment I believe, so hopefully you can get your family medical coverage that way. I’m so sorry. This is so unfair. Best of luck!

Are you able to obtain COBRA insurance for your family so you have coverage? It’s typically expensive but better to have something then nothing especially with a child.

You likely won't have an interview soon, as all local offices are closed. By the time this is over and your interview is scheduled you may be back to work already. Meanwhile, it doesn't hurt to look for a joint sponsor.
