I would like the name of one Democrat who has suggested anything substantive to do about the situation, along with details of that substantive suggestion.

I would still like to have the above.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Would that make what the President did okay?

Can you at least admit that he also screwed up and should stop doing it?

Do share what would the knowledge gonna be useful for to know of what "the other side that holds NO executive power especially over CDC or border control" ?

Felt like an attempt of a fallacy :)

Are you upset about the 43,217 who have died from the flu?  Or are you just targeting covid/Trump?

The only thing being manipulated is our economy, but not everyone is against that, it seems.

Yeah, again with the false equivalence.

The nature of understanding criticism is its validity. The orange man bad tunnel vision is so over the top its comical.

For example, the sole and selective focus on Trump instead of other countries helping bring it to the US and trying to get Americans to engage in behavior that propagates the virus more readily.

Then, the sole and selective focus on Trump when Trump's ability to do anything is very limited, and narrow, but because orange man bad, he's the amazing "can do anything" President who's entirely at fault. In reality, Trump is the President, the federal government's scope is rather narrow (Trump can only do things that are specifically delegated to the federal government by the Constitution and Congress), and its governors and mayors who, in their jurisdictions, have more direct authority over these things than the President. That's how it works in a Republic with sovereign member states. So if New York wasn't taking things seriously until days ago, that would be on Cuomo, de Blasio, etc., and not Trump.

Also notable, while Trump was busy talking about the virus in his SOTU, rather than show solidarity with fighting the virus or taking it seriously, Nancy was right behind him pre-tearing his speech in a drawn out and staged comical PR act that appealed to her five year old demographic on social media. I like your hash tags btw.

You are right, the actual number of deaths worldwide due to the seasonal flu is closer to 125,000 since January 1, 2020.

https://www.worldometers.info

CA had 12 deaths due to the coronavirus today, I wonder how many deaths were due to other reasons today?  Yet, CA is still on lockdown.

As Dem politicians and the MSM say, every single death is on Trump.

Clearly Trump made it happen.

And more importantly, he must be removed/voted out! (<- the end goal for all this gaslighting and narrative driving)

I can't answer that question because I don't think any democrats have come up with anything to do either.  But that doesn't excuse the president's behavior.  There is NO good choice in the upcoming election.  My dog could do a better job.  Oliver for President!

Obviously you are referring to congress, in which case the list is short for either party.

If you wan't to talk governors, there has been a definite disparity in response along partisan lines. We'll ultimately see when this is all over if one approach worked better. Our governor in Colorado has been fairly proactive in getting the guidelines out there, and we have seen the curve flatten because of that. We are 14th or 15th in active cases now. At one time we were 5th. Right now our hospitals are projected to be under capacity at the peak. Hopefully that holds up, and hopefully other states can get there with the right measures in palce.

There was only one approach to this crisis. Decide what you are going to need to do and implement it ahead of the curve. Those decisions don't need to be the same for every state, but they do need to be ready to go sooner than later. In the end, IMO, it will be the states that waited to long to make those decisions that will be among the worst outcomes.

It was touched on briefly, but Washington seems to be an outlier.  Governor Insley did not put a SIP order in place until quite late although they did recommend physical distancing.  Washington has steadily been dropping in the active cases numbers.

There are outliers from either party. Washington was hit hard earliest, so I am not sure anyone had considered the extent of distancing measures at that point. New York in particular waited too long. States with high population density, travel hubs, or low numbers of hospital beds per capita had to be ready to act earlier. NY was too late, obviously.

The same day we closed all public schools in Colorado, NY was moving ahead with cancelling field trips and having students eat lunch in classrooms to avoid having large groups in cafeteria's. Too little, too late.

On the other hand Wyoming hasn't issued a stay home order yet, and they may never need to. They may just need local measures. They have to assess their own situation, hospital capacity etc., but certainly doesn't make sense to lock down Wyoming because NY is overwhelmed.
