That's so weird! It looks like you're on mobile - have you tried it on a desktop or is it the same there too?

 

Maybe that note about "it can take up to 48 hours..." is relevant here? Did you get NOA-1 yet?

Yes It looks the same on my phone, tablet and laptop. 

 

No, haven't received anything other than a payment confirmation email and whatever you can see in that screenshot. 

 

Will have to wait and see if things change. Would be sucky if I can't upload the taxes. At least I uploaded an explanation for it. 😮

I'd just give it 24-48 hours and hopefully you'll have the same upload option that shows up for me. I didn't even know about the upload option until someone else here on VJ told me about, so I assume it is the norm. Absolute worst case scenario is they may send out an RFE, that's what I was told.

I just saw that USCIS is planning a "Tools Outage" this weekend, which will affect online accounts:

So, it might be a while before the upload feature appears for you. 😕

Interesting to see that people upload so many supporting docs. I just uploaded the copy of GC and marriage certificate and same for my spouse. I believe these are the ones required.

Taxes are also required, along with Selective Service proof (if applicable).

Selective service is not applicable to me. For taxes, do you just submit the return transcript?

I submitted transcripts and copies of the actual tax forms as well just to be on the safe side.

I’m filing based on 5 years but didn’t upload any tax returns, was just going to bring the past 5 years to the interview? Also what else should I submit? I only uploaded my gc, marriage certificate and my kids birth certificate

I'm not entirely sure, I would assume taxes are also part of showing your status as living in the US (thus residency requirement). I don't know what the 5 years based application looks like because I only saw the 3 year marriage based one.

There were a few questions in the N-400 form asking if you had filed your taxes, if you owe taxes etc. I bet they want to see the tax return transcripts to make sure you actually filed your taxes like most residents are required to, my guess is that it has something to do with the moral character part. If that's the case then it should apply under both the 3 year and 5 year rule. It's just a guess, and one can probably bring it to the interview, or possibly get an RFE.

Good to see you back here.   We have had the same time frames as you the entire immigration process.  We filed the N400 on April 21.  Good luck.
