That’s great news. I wish Atlanta was moving in the same direction. The processing time is actually growing and now at May 01, 2018 :(

I hear you. Some of these offices are so bad, I've heard that Seattle and Minneapolis are especially terrible. Do you know any Atlanta filers that have gotten biometrics or interviews yet?

I know at least one Atlanta filer who got their interview scheduled. However, they applied in January 2020...before the pandemic. So that’s not really indicative

Have you tried pulling stats on the Lawfully app? Not entirely sure how accurate it is, but might be interesting to see how it looks. I posted the Chicago ones a while back here:

Hi everyone.

My interview is coming up. Applied in April 2020.

I would like to make sure since I applied before December 2020, I am taking the old version of civics test, right?

who else has this message on their screen when they log in?

Error on certain USCIS receipt notices

Between Jan. 5 and Jan. 21, 2021, USCIS issued receipt notices with incorrect information to applicants who submitted Forms N-400, N-565, N-600, N-600K, or N-336 online. The error does not have any impact on the pending application and applicants can disregard that receipt notice. USCIS will mail new, corrected notices in the coming days and post corrected notices to applicants’ USCIS online accounts.

I used Lawfully. I don’t think Lawfully uses actual local center. So it’s not as tuned. Lawfully predicted that my case would have had the highest chance of resolving by January 2021...

FYI. I filed January 31st, 2020 and did Bio mid February. In September my online status changed from completion in September to "we are taking longer...". The processing date they were saying they were processing for my office was November 2019 as of December 2020. Finally I got my interview for early January, passed, and a week later got my oath scheduled for early February. I went ahead and checked online and it says they are still processing November 2019, although I am (pretty much done) and filed only in February (they acknowledged receipt February 3rd). I think that date is there really just to let people know when they can officially contact them to get some answers. But hopefully like myself and many others you will get a follow up much earlier than that.

That's my understanding of it, it's basically the date for when you can officially open an inquiry under the case being "Outside Normal Processing Time". From the site:

https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do?sroPageType=onpt&entryPoint=init

Do you have a case pending with USCIS that is outside the normal processing time? You can get an idea of how long it will take to process your case on our website a Check Processing Times. For most applications, you can send us an inquiry if your case has been pending longer than the processing time posted.

NOTE: We are actively processing your case if, in the past 60 days, you:

  • Received a notice from us about your case,
  • Responded to a request for evidence, OR
  • Received an online update to your case status.
