We will collect your fingerprints, take your photo, and have you sign your name for electronic capture.

What to bring

  • Green Card
  • Appointment letter
  • A second form of photo identification (such as a driver's license, passport, or state ID card)

 

If you need assistance
You may bring someone with you to help you during your appointment. If you do not understand spoken English, you should bring someone who can translate for you.

Mine showed up the next day they scheduled the biometrics. 

It will probably be there tomorrow. 

 

Note: Mine was scheduled on October 21st and I haven't received the letter in the mail.

Nice hopefuy itll show up there tomorrow, not really worried about the mail as long as it shows up on the site and i can print it out.

i am seriously thinking of withdrawing my application. Our center used to be one of the fastest moving. b/c of covid it terminated contracts with contractors which means its ASC is not functioning. My friend applied 3 weeks before I did and was approved this past Aug b/c she got bio in Feb before closure. I am set back by 2 years due to covid. 

 

There's so many of us in exactly the same situation, nothing has happened since we submitted our applications in April (this is, after all, April filers). Some people are starting to show progress, so instead of pissing us off that should be hopeful to us that eventually, on their own timeline, not ours, our applications will be processed.

 

For marriage based visas, many of us have been through this many times already, and the process takes time, and it's very frustrating. And then out of the blue there's movement on our cases.

 

You house purchase? Was that predicated on obtaining citizenship? If so, how is that anybody else's fault? In the best of times USCIS is unpredictable.

 

We all understand your frustration, but please try to be patient.

We already have your biometrics and we will use them. You do not need to appear at ASC for any biometrics. We are continuing to process your case.

If you have filed in April and still waiting on a biometric appointment, id definitely recommend you e-mail them. Thats what i did and few days later my biometric appointment was scheduled.

When you log into your USCIS account, go to "RESOURCES" on your top right...then "SEND US A MESSAGE" and just ask them if someone is working on your case.

this is exactly what i sent them "To Whom it may concern; Was wondering if my biometrics will be used or will you guys schedule an appointment for me? And also id like to know if anyone is working on my case. Thank you."
