Processing times seem to have significantly gone up for several areas including KCMO. Now it is 11 to 18 months. It was 7.5 to 10.5 months until yesterday.

@QueenofSwords, have you heard anything new? Any updates regarding biometrics perhaps?

I thought they'd do that to cover their own ### basically. it's done that way so that we don't file a request that it's outside processing times.

No I got the same script thrice and was done. i did however contact my Senator. but I am reading that even when you do so the Senator's office gets the same response.

so i this new timeline holds  given as I am a March applicant I should be done around this time next year.

...October 20 i emailed to check on the status of my case..

today they emailed me this...

I HAVE NOT RECEIVE ASC NOTICE YET...

"Thank you for your inquiry dated October 20, 2020.

Requesting information about your N-400, Application for Naturalization.

USCIS systems indicate that on April 30, 2020, we created and mailed you an Application Support Center (ASC) Appointment Notice. You may also view and print a copy of your USCIS ASC Appointment Notice within your USCIS online filing system account. After you log in to your USCIS online filing system account, access the Home Tab to find the "Documents" field to view or print your official appointment notice from USCIS. Your appointment is on November 12, 2020 at 1:00 PM. You'll receive your new ASC notice shortly.

Your case is currently in suspense until you appear and complete the process at the ASC for your biometrics. If your appointment time has passed, or if you need to reschedule the appointment, please complete the Request for Rescheduling portion of the notice."

Congratulations! You are lucky. They have told me to wait 30 days for a response on the service request that was raised a few days ago.

Go to https://myaccount.uscis.gov and log in. Click on Documents under Your Cases. That should show you a list of all the documents that they have mailed to you so far.

They did say they have sent you a new notice so that will probably appear online shortly or in the mail.

Meanwhile, check the old uscis site. Create an account and see if there is more info listed under Next Steps. egov.uscis.gov

you are very lucky. I am so disheartened that I'll still be waiting for biometrics a year from now. I wanted to move  (I was going to buy a house) and this has thrown a wrench in the process.

I've already been waiting 7-8 months for bio. another year of waiting.

Thank you and hopefully you don't have to wait a whole year to become a US Citizen, wish you all the best and stay safe.

Oh I am talking about having waited 7.5 months for bio and waiting another year on top of this for bio.

i am seriously thinking of withdrawing my application. Our center used to be one of the fastest moving. b/c of covid it terminated contracts with contractors which means its ASC is not functioning. My friend applied 3 weeks before I did and was approved this past Aug b/c she got bio in Feb before closure. I am set back by 2 years due to covid.
