Hi all, I've finally heard from USCIS. they told me they entered my info in to the local ASC for biometric scheduling and I will get a notice with the date once a slot becomes available.

Not sure when this would be. Anyone who has experience with this?

Hi @QueenofSwords. Good to hear that there is some movement on your case. The last time I talked to an agent he said that ASCs are supposed to respond to biometrics scheduling requests by USCIS within a month but usually it takes 2 weeks.

Can you share how you contacted them?

I emailed them from my online account. i also called them this past Friday but the agent wasn't able to tell me anything more than that I should give them a call after Oct 27th if I don't hear from them by then due to the within 90 day rule.

I had already emailed them by this point and today I got a response to this email with this update that USCIS has requested the ASC for a slot.

I’ve seen a lot of posts here lately that people are getting their interviews scheduled and their cases have been transferred to local offices. I’m so confused. They sent us a letter a few weeks ago (posted here) that they will be reusing his biometrics. However there is no field office. The letter came from the National Benefits Center and his case completion date is expected July 2021 😩. Why is our case completion date is so far away? Why hasn’t our case gone to a field office if they will reuse our biometrics? We have a super easy case to process. We’ve been happily married for almost 8 years and “have all our ducks in a row.” I don’t get why this would take as long as it’s expected to.

12/30/2012 Got married!

02/01/2013 Sent I-130 via Priority Mail USPS

02/05/2013 NOA1 Priority Date

04/09/2013 Called USCIS-informed by Tier 2 officer that my case was transferred to Washington D.C. on March 13

09/05/2013 NOA2

09/27/2013 NVC received case

Submitted DS-261

Paid AOS bill

10/16/2013 Paid IV bill

10/19/2013 Submitted DS-260
10/21/2013 Mailed AOS and IV packages overnight

11/15/2013 IV package accepted/Checklist for AOS

11/26/2013 New AOS documents received at NVC

12/19/2013 Case Complete

12/27/2013-Received Interview letter

01/26/2014-Husband's Medical Exam

02/13/2014-Interview- Approved, but the consular officer did not see I-864 joint sponsor documents, and sent my husband home with the packet of all the original documents, and told him to mail it in when he gets it. My husband realized that the "missing" documents had been there all along. Husband immediately mailed it back.

02/26/2014-Consular office received "missing" documents and gave it to CO for review

Your local field office would in theory be the one closest to where you live. That's probably where that July 2021 estimate times are coming from. Check the case processing times site:

They told me exactly the same thing. Delegated to the local ASC. But what that really means is something noone knows.

@QueenofSwords , @millefleur I spoke with a customer rep today who said that the latest update they had was USCIS is trying to get all the bio appts setup/ sent out  by Oct 27th ..and that we should have some information post that date..I feel this is a moving target because it's been 90 days today since my ASC reopened and I was hoping to raise a service ticket for this and it doesn't appear that they are entertaining these requests unless it's to reschedule an appointment.

27th October  is hardly 12-13 days more , so hopefully I would be happy atleast if the get something up by 27th OCT.

I’m in exactly same situation. Got a reuse letter a month and a half ago from a National center and nothing since. It looks like Atlanta is very slow and it will drag well into the next year.
