N-400 April 2020 Filers

Does anyone got update on biometrics appointment or biometrics being re-used ?  I haven given  my biometrics in dec 2019 for my I-751 , doesn’t understand why can’t they re-use the biometrics from past 7 months?? My I-751 is being pending since past 15 months and N-400 since past 3 and half months. Really frustrating.

I haven't seen anyone awaiting the N-400 whose biometrics were reused. By the time the ASC's open here, my husband's biometrics will be past the 15 months period so I doubt they'll waive it for him.

Just received an soft update on my case and it reads like this -Case being processed at our E-Filed Case Processing Section location.  can someone provide what does this update means ??

I think all online filers got it. I believe it is just a name change. It used to be "It is being processed at our Integrated Operating Env location" or something like that (hence IOE case number) and they've changed the name to "E-Filed Case Processing Section".

It's confusing, I filed online and have never seen either of those statuses on the myaccount.uscis website. 😁

You're right, I have that text on the old site. I haven't checked that site in forever, maybe I need to keep a closer eye on it in the future. 

 

For my I-751 I got all the updates on the old site (card being produced, case approved, card mailed etc), but on the new site it still says "we received your case". 🤦‍♀️

Same here. I don't really trust the new site. The only update on the new site I've received so far is "We've transferred your case to another office." During ROC, the new site rarely had updates, all updates were listed on the old site. I would check the old site regularly or download one of those apps that track cases, they all use the old site to track any updates.

Does that mean , someone atleast looking at our case or it’s just an update that can be ignored ?

I can't say for sure but my interpretation is that it doesn't mean anything new. I don't really see it as an update because the status itself didn't change.

Thank you. My I-751 is also pending, don’t know if pending ROC, will further delay my N-400 case.

Processing times have been updated in USCIS website for N-400. It almost came to pre-covid timelines, varied for each field office. Still a bit of increase compared to pre-covid timelines but lot better than generic 12-36 months.

Yep, I saw that. For my local office it's now Estimated time range: 8.5 Months to 25.5 Months. That's a pretty large span but this is also a big urban area so understandable that it might include some more difficult cases.

I am hoping those timelines will further come down for next month If no potential furloughs. I hope they reuse the biometrics that eliminates lot of processing time.
