Filing a FOIA request might speed things up, contacting your representatives and senator could also help. That is what l suspect, helped my case. Anybody here is waiting for their interview in San Fernando Valley?

Still in the process here.

Congressman has been trying to help for over a year, ombudsman turned out to be a dead end.

Congressman has been able to squeeze a timeline (latest date they will get back to me), TWICE,  from the USCIS - both of which the USCIS has failed to deliver on without any info or explanation.

At this point this whole process is not even a joke anymore.

Do you guys know if the FOIA filing will speed up or delay the process ?

Hi Finn,

I would file a FOIA. I did and I think it speeds up the process. Others agree with that.

Sorry you're still dealing with it. My wife filed in April. Still waiting (of course)

Hang in there.

OK - FINALLY, my final update on this thread...

It's been a while, but just wanted to let you guys know that 29 months and 10 days after filing, I became a U.S. Citizen on sep-28th 2022 !!!

Holy H*ll was that a wait !

It will never stop haunting me to know what happened. Maybe I should get a job at the USCIS - VERY clearly they get paid doing absolutely nothing.

Anyways, hope I was the last one on this thread to get this done... happy thanksgiving, all !

Congrats to finally have become a citizen! Crazy to think that some from this thread have been citizens for TWO YEARS already, and you just became one. Glad it's finally over for you, thanks for the update.

Happy Thanksgiving, and Merry Christmas!
