It was super basic; just read a three word sentence and write a three word sentence.

I wouldn't worry. They seem very accommodating. My phrases were: for reading “Who can vote?” and for writing “Citizens can vote”. For the rest of the interview, she can use a translator.

I arrived 15 minutes early and after going through security, I checked in with an officer who entered my information to a computer, put a stamp on my interview NOA and then sent me to the second floor (Denver office). I sat for three minutes and an officer came to look for me. 

 

The interview was very straightforward, first he asked for documents to check that my marriage was still going (I provided bank statements, home insurance and mortgage). 

 

Then, he did the 6/10 test, the English test on a tablet (one question for reading and one for writing). Then, he went through the application questions and requested clarification on two minor things. After that, he said he would recommend me for Naturalization and asked if I wanted to become a citizen today, so I said yes. 

 

He gave the Oath of Allegiance, I signed a couple of forms and he asked me to go out to the waiting room so he could go and get my certificate. I waited for a minute and he came out with my certificate, some paperwork (to explain how to apply for a passport, change social security, etc) and a cute US flag. 

 

He congratulated me and I was gone in 30 minutes. 

 

I'm now a US Citizen!

Not sure how many of us are still waiting on biometrics, but here's an update from USCIS about that:

Got a notification last night case was updated.

 

Interview scheduled Jan 28, also there was a biometrics reuse notice from Dec 22.

Applied on April 15th 2020, Biometric reuse on August 7th, 2020. Finally, on 12/31/2020, I ve got a notification that I was scheduled for an interview.  Awaiting on the notice to see the date of the interview.

Just checked my account today & in the Document tab it says Biometric reused😊Case completion estimate is February 2021... i Filed on 27April 2020 in Chicago service center.

Wow, lucky! My husband's case was transferred to Chicago after we moved from another state, filed April 1st but zero updates since "We're transferring your case to another field office" Now the myuscis site just shows "Invalid date Case Was Received and A Receipt Notice Was Emailed".

I see similar thing in my “Case History” tab on my.uscis. It says “Invalid date Case Was Received and A Receipt Notice Was Emailed.” However, the “Case Status” tab hasn’t changed since April when they received my case and mailed the receipt. Ughh
