Hi guys. So I’ve had my interview cancelled due to COVID-19 and that’s quite ok. My problem is my husband. I honestly can’t stand the man any longer. Everyday he comes with an argument and It’s gotten so bad that I end up cursing my kids due to the frustration. I pray about it a lot and sometimes I ignore him but there are times when I just can’t. We have a 2 yr old daughter together and I have Another daughter from a previous relationship. He gets mad for everything. I would record our arguments but that’s the only evidence I have. I’m at my wits ends especially now that I have to be locked up in the house with him everyday.

Your ROC interview? You posted in the IR/CR forum but your profile says Adjust of Status pending.

Are you lookin for immigration advice or relationship advice?

Not ROC. My adjustment of status. I wasn’t finding the right forum. I’m not even sure what advice I want or need right now because I’m emotionally exhausted!

Is that also for people who are adjusting? I thought that was for ROC only.

Sorry read OP's answer backwards. If you divorce before the AOS you wont be eligible

I don't know if these issues with your husband are due to him having corona virus cabin fever or if this was happening prior to the pandemic. I am lucky that both myself and my husband are essential workers, but I have a 17 year old daughter who is a living hell right now due to the corona virus. We are on lock down in Mississippi starting tomorrow for 2 weeks and she just about lost her darn mind. I would liken it to something from the exorcist, only 100 times worse.

If this is an ongoing issue prior to recent events, marriage therapy may be an option, but ultimately if this is something you can not foresee yourself having to deal with any longer than of course divorce is another option. Only you can decide how you would like to proceed.

Then I guess it's time to go home

That's a little harsh considering she has a 2 year old USC child.  We dont know if her spouse would allow the child out of the country or not. I think counseling would be the first step.

I'll advice Y'all  go for counseling Regarding the fact that you both have a child together.

I have to agree that counselling might be the way to go here -- and I'm usually the one telling people to leave and get a divorce! If it's really just not getting along, some time-limited talk therapy could help. Therapists are doing sessions by Zoom and other video services now. If it's disagreements and arguments that aren't violent or don't seem like there is any threat or bullying or harm -- just plain old fights -- therapy could be the key.
