Congratulations Jamie Solo ! That's great !

Thank you all for your messages and sweet interest on my last update.

Guess what ? About our RFE, it is our lawyer's fault (the one i wanted to get rid of around Christmas but we finally decided to go along with him). He uploaded the translation of our Marriage Certificate, not the original marriage certificate. 😤😤😤

We are, as you can imagine, super pissed with him. To get an RFE for something so basic and easy!!! Well, that's us!

Back at the bottom of the pile. :(

The virus makes already everything hard to plan but now with an extra 2 months delay... jeeeeze. And not sure when I will see my husband next.

I will stop complaining now.

Have a great week-end you all.

Alix

There is no word to explain the feeling you going through now. I been there man, I haven’t see my wife for the last 7 months and I am still waiting for them to send me the DQ at least. My last document submitted was January 29, nothing so far and I can’t imagine if they gonna do a REF this time , I will get so angry and pissed off because I am so tired with this drama

hope everything will be fine for you and me too

Thank you Jackrayane,

It's true that the hardest thing is to be kept apart from our spouse. Things would be different for sure if we were together.

So, after a first submission in December, and a second submission on the 28th of January, I can finally say we got DQ!!

Such a damn relief to say that! 😅 So to everyone waiting, just be patient and your time will be coming soon! We've chosen a long and struggle filled road going through this process but the end result will make it all worth it! ;)

That's great, it's comforting to know that you guys from that period are all being DQ, congrat ! Knock on wood.

Hey Guys,

We got an RFE :(

The marriage certificate is not good. I don't understand because it is the official marriage certificate from the City Hall in France with proper translation (from a US professional translation company).

Anyway.

Alix

So sorry Alix, was it a full document or an extract ? because we've been through the same thing in october, they refused and asked for the full document (same with parents name)

Thank you JulesBarre,

The lawyer we paid to take care of us (LOL what an irony) uploaded the English translation (even though it was not even needed, since my interview will be in Paris) WITHOUT the original French version. Stupid silly mistake. Voilà !

Oh man! I do hope you can get some sort of refund back for this. Such an elementary mistake. We have also had MANY downs (no ups) with our lawyer situation as well. I just felt like I was just redoing their work and correcting their requests before submitting the documents.

Stay strong!

OMG honestly with Visa Journey, we so don't need a lawyer (for easy-regular-normal-usual cases of course - like ours is).

If I had knows before...

Stay strong too! We will get there for sure.

Thats what i was gonna say. Not sure why you guys had a translation if the interview is gonna be in the same country.

Anyway that lawyer sucks !!! And you have every right to be upset.

We never know why things happen but they happen for a reason and thats the only thing that ever keeps me sane.

Please be patient and know that your case is in our prayers 👏👏👏👏

are you sure about that (not needing translation)? Our embassy states that translations for every document, and a copy of the original and the translation need to be provided. NVC states the same.

Hello guys, I'm super confused right now. The embassy/consulate are still closed in my country but NVC just sent an email saying that our interview is scheduled in May. I guess they are planning to re-open in May?

Which country
