Congratulations and thanks for sharing the good news ! We are in the similar situation. my passport is running out by the the end of June (pushing it I know) Can you please tell me what was in your  "passport message" ? What did they want ? Thank you !

Hey Thanks! When I opened the passport message they said that my husbands police certificate is expiring..which infact I know thats not the case. So i figured it would be the passport, so they just wanted it to be renewed to avoid delays during interview..He will just have to submit and show his new passport during interview since they approved all docs anyways..😊

The only two AOS documents that it seems that they wanted from us are the two under required documents.

But We were like." No. What happened with the bunch of documents listed on their website?"

we uploaded everything just in case..

we didn’t wanted to get a RFE. Literally from the first day that Uscis sent us the approval I was reading all the steps on their website to do it just like they wanted it.

They ask proof of domicile if the petitioner or sponsor is living outside the United States or something like that.. we uploaded it anyway.

hey

david im a Middle of doing Ds260 and this one question about " Spouse" section come up.

I am the Petitioner so this Spouse section is about me from my understanding please correct me if I am wrong.

- When the form ask ,

"Is your spouse immigrating to the U.S With you"

" Is your spouse immigrating to the U.S At later date to Join you"

what is your input on these?. thanks in advance.

I assumed "No" since I am a petitioner and a U.S Citizen so Im already here in the U.S.A

The DS260 is all about the applicants. So yes.  You are the spouse. The only section about you is that one. You need to put your date of birth, place of birth etc.

I select No. to those two because as you, my husband is already there is the US.

Hi everyone, I have questions in regards affidavit of support. Me and my husband living overseas, he is main sponsor filling out 864. His parents will sponsor us, and we will move to their house, so they will out 864a each of them.  We have 2 kids, so I am only one beneficiary.

1. Do I say we are 6 household members in form 864?

2. What address I should put in 864 form? USA address or European (instructions says to put European and establish domicile). I would like to put USA address because we need to combine sponsor and households members income.

3. How to fill out assets of parents, since they fill out individual form 864a? However assets are combined, should I write the same number ex. 200k on each of their form? or should I write 100k and 100k

Appreciated your help

Hi all,

was just doing my daily (lol) ceac check and realized that I accidentally submitted my proof of status (Petitioner, LPR) under additional Civics documents. I also have it under additional AOS documents (along with proof of domicile), but somehow I found it a great idea to upload it under civics as well which I am now convinced was not a good choice. I believe (hope) it doesn't matter and they'll just ignore a document that is not needed, but does anyone here have experience with that?

Hello everyone,

I am starting to worry a bit. I have submitted all my documents on the 17th of April. My mom is acting as the household member and when I submitted her tax transcripts from 2016, 2017, and 2018 (she didnt have her 2019 one due to covid-19).

First question, will I receive an RFE for the reason that I put her tax transcripts all in one file? I am really starting to worry about this.

Second question, did I have to write an explanation as to why I didnt submit her 2019 tax transcript? Considering taxes were extended till July, I figured this was not needed.

Can someone advise - I AM FREAKING OUT!!!!

No you will not get an RFE for combining you tax transcripts in one file. As of today, 2018 is still the most recent tax year since the filing deadline has been extended to July 15. Therefore you do not need a letter of explanation  but keep in mind  you will be asked to bring it to the embassy.

Thank you so much! I'll give them a call and then submit :D

I inquired with NVC and this is what they replied me back.

I will wait to get the PCC and then submit the docs otherwise they will send the checklist which will delay the process.

Dear/Sir Madam:

If you cannot submit a required document, you must send a detailed explanation through CEAC.

- Go to https://ceac.state.gov/iv.

- Under Civil Documents, choose the "Not available" option for the missing document.  A box will appear asking you to explain why the document is not available.

- Explain why you cannot provide the document for your case.

- Repeat these steps for each document marked "Missing."

After you provide an explanation for each document that is not available, click the "Submit Documents" button.

We will review the information and let you know if any other action is required.

Thank you so much for the update. When you file can you show me what exactly did you write to explain them? That would be so much relief.

I hope they approve this and accept pcc at the time of interview.

Hey,

We submitted at the beginning of the month and explained that "police clearance is currently not available because [fill your institution that provides it here] is currently closed due to covid-19. As advised by NVC representative over the phone, the Police Clearance Certificate will be presented at the time of the interview".

Hope this helps.
