Yeah... I'll try to find the thread and post it here. The person definitely already had everything in order - even the interview letter (so they had the medical already). Am in the same boat as you. Good luck to us!

Here you go - what a great post!

Hello everyone,

Could you please clarify this part of the form

I-864EZ for me. My household will include:

1. Myself as the petitioner

2. Spouse whom I'm sponsoring

3. 3 dependents claimed on taxes

* From my count, my total should be 5 but I am coming up with 6 for my family size.

NOTE: Do not count any household member more than once.
1.a. Yourself and the person you are sponsoring on this Form (should I put "2" here or is it only supposed to be "1", this is the part that is throwing me off). If I put "2" here, then I'll be counting my spouse twice. Meanwhile,  the question is Yourself and the person you are sponsoring.

Any response here will be very much appreciated!

Its not recommended to use the EZ version. We've seen several RFEs and NVC asking for the I864 instead, even if the petitioner applies for the EZ one.

You might want to read about it in the previous threads. (Ive been following the NVC threads since November.. got DQ Jan 2020)

Wow!  That sounds encouraging but it looks like it is primarily K1’s getting their AOS interviews waived.

Is that strange? Bc a wedding that hasn't happened seems to be getting preference over an established family (people with 10 yr of marriage and kids etc)...

I'm not defending it but I suspect it may have something to do with the fact that they have already had their medical, been interviewed (for their K1 visa), and are currently in the country.  Just a theory.

I used the EZ version and was just fine.  As long as you are sure you qualify to actually use it, you should be ok.

@Hilde

I'm  one of those people that got their AOS interview wavier. There are about  7 couples now who have also got a wavier. I have no idea what USCIS was looking for or what criteria they used to approve me among  the others. There was a J1 visa to get a wavier, but for the most part they were K1s based AOS. I wish I could be more help to you.

I am thrilled for you! Good news for one is good news for all! I wish we could understand their processing method. I guess time will tell. Congrats to you!

My head is still spinning GC is in hand now. AOS Interviews used to be routinely waived several years back but since then everyone has had them until now. I do think it has something to do with this Corona virus situation.

Thanks for your input. Do you mind pasting that link here so I could check out the reasons why they had issues with it if they qualified to use the I-864EZ?

thank you so much :D.

I figured NVC is the most frustrating stage to be honest I double check and triple check my Documents for a few days now and still have errors. The payment is still processing but I have for the best when its time to submit .

Hi guys n gals.

I expect to hear from the US Embassy in London at some point but unsure if I should expect any communication while the embassy is in reduced operations. Has anyone else heard anything regarding their completed case / what was the time frame?

Hope you're all keeping safe!

Matt

Its been 3 weeks since I got DQ and still no word from London. My case on the NVC site also says its still at NVC so to me it looks like staff in London aren't even in for doing processing behind the scenes right now.
