Hi Everyone! Just got documentarily qualified today! April 21,2020

Submitted documents: February 13,2020

Its just weird that below the documentarily qualified, i also got a passport message but when i opened it , it said about the police certificate..but I know it should be about the passport since it will expire on September. Thank God my husband already renewed his passport before everything started closing.. So I guess he'll just need to show his new passport during interview since when i looked back at the documents it was accepted anyways..☺️

Good luck everyone! We will all be with our loved ones soon!❤

Congratulations and thanks for sharing the good news ! We are in the similar situation. my passport is running out by the the end of June (pushing it I know) Can you please tell me what was in your  "passport message" ? What did they want ? Thank you !

Was in the same situation where all the civil docs were ready except for the PCC and so we called the NVC and explained that the criminal records office was closed due to covid19 and they said to write up a letter on why the PCC isn't readily available and upload it to the documents in place of the certificate. You will have to have the PCC in hand by the time of the interview though. This seems like a logical option so that's what we did and submitted everything the next day. You may want to call and confirm with the NVC :)

This is great!!! Even my husband is in the same boat.

I will also call NVC and confirm with them.

Thank you so much! I'll give them a call and then submit :D

Hi,

Even we are in the same boat of not having PCC coz of lockdown in India.

Were you able to confirm with NVC about submitting the PCC on the day of the interview?

In addition to calling, I've also emailed NVC and have it in writing:

Hope this helps!

Thank you so much!! Did they reply back to your email the same day?

Did you use this link to inquire: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html

or something else like an email address for NVC?

I haven't been able to yet - we had our April 20th appointment rescheduled to May 5th, I'm planning on calling/emailing NVC to confirm if I can upload proof of canceled appointments to explain the situation (even though it's well known, I'd still like to document our tries!)

I'm guessing if the lockdown in Mumbai extends further, we will just go ahead and submit with an explanation. I'm hoping to see some DQs without PCC to be less hesitant about this :( I don't want to end up submitting only to have them send us a checklist for PCC.

I totally agree. I emailed NVC to check on it.

My husband's PCC appointment is on May 11th, so we are planning to wait until May 4th to see if the lockdown gets extended further.

If it does get extended and NVC replies back, we will go ahead and submit it with an explanation.

Hi guys n gals.

I expect to hear from the US Embassy in London at some point but unsure if I should expect any communication while the embassy is in reduced operations. Has anyone else heard anything regarding their completed case / what was the time frame?

Hope you're all keeping safe!

Matt

Just read that the USCIS is planning on reopening offices on June 4th. No word on embassies yet... My guess it will be a country-by-country decision.

I have read other threads here on VJ, however, that some people got their interviews waived (!) and got the GC already. Keep an eye out for that!

Yeah... I'll try to find the thread and post it here. The person definitely already had everything in order - even the interview letter (so they had the medical already). Am in the same boat as you. Good luck to us!
