Did anyone face the following issue while filling Form DS260 online.

I am getting errors while filling out the previous addresses portion and getting kicked out of the form.

Can't save the data entered also. Still gets kicked out.

Any advice?

We had the same problem. Type in ONE address (and have the dates go back to the period to when the person was 16- that way the form doesn’t give you an error).

Fill out the rest of that page and hit “next”. This will save the page.

Then go back to edit it and add more addresses and change the original date.

We almost drove ourselves crazy with the addresses. We lost our work like 5 times.

Ah my bad. I did not file tax 2017 ( full time student)

You don't need to include a letter then for 2017, only the most recent tax year (now 2019) is required to show (and a letter of non-filing if you didn't file for 2019), the previous 2 tax years' transcripts and W2s are optional to show if you feel it would help prove your financial situation is stable, but since you didn't file for 2017 you don't have to show anything for that year as long as 2019 tax year is in order

Our CR1 Journey:

USCIS Stage:

  • Feb 14 2019: NOA1 (NSC)
  • July 31 2019: I129f NOA1
  • Sep 19 2019: I129f NOA2 (Denied - 50 days from NOA1)
  • Sep 19 2019: I130 NOA2 (Approved - 217 days from NOA1)

NVC Stage:

  • Sep 27 2019: Sent to Department of State
  • Oct 31 2019: Case number received (34 days since sent)
  • Nov 1 2019: IV & AOS fees received & paid
  • Nov 14 2019: IV & AOS submitted
  • Dec 18 2019: All docs accepted, but one additional doc requested (5 weeks from submission)
  • Dec 18 2019: Requested doc submitted
  • Feb 19 2020: Documentarily Qualified (9 weeks from 2nd submission, 14 weeks from first submission)

Interview Stage:

  • Mar 11 2020: Interview letter received
  • Apr 1 2020: Interview date
  • Mar 17 2020: Interview cancelled due to COVID-19
  • August 3 2020: Rescheduled letter received, new appointment August 25 2020
  • August 25 2020: Visa approved at interview! (558 days from NOA1)
  • September 10 2020: Embassy received passport in mail
  • September 15 2020: Passport with visa in hand

October 11 2020: Arrived in US!

YES!!! We were sooo frustrated filling this out yesterday. We had to retype addresses so many times... we just had to keep doing it until it finally went through. We would save after each address, but often times even when we would press save, it would bring us to a "lost connection" page and end up never saving. It was a terrible experience to be honest haha

That's amazing! Congratulations!! Did you guys have the PCC?

Thank you!
Police Clearance Certificate?  Yes and no. I submitted the one for my home country which is obtained online. But I couldn’t get the one from Mexico because everything in close due Covid19. I just added a note of why it wasn’t available and it was accepted. Hopefully I will be available to get it before the interview.

So, again, my evidence for embassy change has been rejected. Apparently birth certificate and passport aren’t enough proof of country of citizenship.. 🤷‍♀️ Will call NVC tonight to see what the problem is. TBC!

So my wife and I have been getting anxious and we're hoping to hear back soon from NVC. We originally filed on Dec 18 2019 and then had an RFE on Feb 12 where we had to submit a new PCC (The one linked on the official .gov site was the wrong one!) and we didn't submit a non-editable pdf for the i-864. We re-submitted on Feb 15th and we're wondering how long we should wait before calling NVC? Strange thing is that when looking at the documents from when we re-submitted it's showing the original file's upload date (Dec 18th) and not the new documents upload date (Feb 15) is that just how the system works or is there something to be concerned about?

Here's hoping we get our DQ in the next few days. Seeing people who submitted after us getting their DQ's is a bit disconcerting and while I'm super happy people are getting through everyday is more and more difficult dealing with the wait. I have been living here in Moldova for nearly 3 years now with my wife and I haven't been back to the US since. I'd love to see my friends and family again!

I see! We have everything but the PCC for India (my husband has lived there all his life) and we're not sure how long we should wait to obtain it or if we should submit our application marking it unavailable and adding an explanation :(

Yes! Once you get the email from NVC with the case number and invoice ID, you can login and pay both the IV and AOS fees (one at a time) pretty much immediately
