Hey everyone!

I’ve a question. My case is already in process at NVC. Is NVC gonna send me back to the end of line if I upload an optional document now or what?

In my personal experience we added extra documents after it was submitted and we didn't lose our spot in line. They reviewed our case based off the original date. If its only been a week or two since you submitted I would go ahead and add documents.....its better to take that chance than to get a RFE for that same document later.

Hey everyone!

I'm noticing a trend of people getting checklists for W2s/1099s with their tax transcripts — is this always the case? We submitted a W2 for 2019 since we only have the return, not the transcript, but for 2018 and 2017 we just sent the transcript.

CR-1 VISA TIMELINE (LONDON EMBASSY)

26th May 2019 — Married 💕

12th July 2019 — I-130 sent

19th July 2019 — NOA1, assigned Potomac service center

17th March 2020 — NOA2!
21st March 2020 — NVC case number received, all fees paid
25th March 2020 — Fees accepted, DS-260 completed
26th March 2020 — All NVC documents submitted
19th May 2020 — DQ!
2nd June 2020 — Expedite requested (primarily medical reasons)
5th June 2020 — Expedite approved by embassy
8th June 2020 — Case in transit NVC --> London

9th June 2020 — Call from London to schedule interview

16th June 2020 — Interview (221G, pending medical results, everything else fine)

17th June 2020 — Medical (mostly went well but something odd was showing on chest x-ray, cue stress)

22nd June 2020 — Medical confirmed all-clear and sent to embassy (P H E W)

2nd July 2020 — Visa status changed to issue, notification from courier

3rd July 2020 — Arrived at depot, informed I can't collect due to COVID-19 lockdown in Scotland. Had to get it rerouted (took a LOT of phonecalls)

4th July 2020 — Visa/passport received!

Hello everyone,

Could you please clarify this part of the form

I-864EZ for me. My household will include:

1. Myself as the petitioner

2. Spouse whom I'm sponsoring

3. 3 dependents claimed on taxes

* From my count, my total should be 5 but I am coming up with 6 for my family size.

NOTE: Do not count any household member more than once.
1.a. Yourself and the person you are sponsoring on this Form (should I put "2" here or is it only supposed to be "1", this is the part that is throwing me off). If I put "2" here, then I'll be counting my spouse twice. Meanwhile,  the question is Yourself and the person you are sponsoring.

Any response here will be very much appreciated!

I don't have the definite answer, but here's what I did:

Current individual income: total from 1040 for 2019. Under Additional docs I uploaded supporting W2 and 1099 (not the 1040, since no filing is required yet and in fact I didn't file yet)

I uploaded the 2018 transcript under required financials, and also added W2 and 1099 for that year under additional

I hope this helps! If you decide to use your CURRENT (higher) annual income, you would probably have to submit paystubs as proof under additional documentation.

Say if i have something to explain or to add.  Where would you add that paper? Under “ other” of the additional documentation?

Hi,

It took 10 business days for our payment to be processed by NVC and to see the “PAID” mention on the CEAC website.

FYI, the payment was made from a US bank (First Tech Federal Union).

Hope that helps 😀

Three full business days for both of my applications (spouse and child)

Yes, they had to be on a separate tab. My transcript and W2s were submitted on the same tab initially.

Is there a tab for “ explaining letter “ for example iF i want to add an explaination for  anything

Hi,

As far as my case is concerned, we uploaded only my joint sponsor’s most recent tax transcript (2018).

And today, all my docs were accepted and we got a message from NVC stating that we needed to give them the corresponding W-2 as well.

Hope it’s useful for you 🙂

Ok good to know. I'll check a little less frequently then haha. We made ours from Wells Fargo. I'm kind of itching to get to DQ before some immigration change happens and they close down nvc or something. Not that that will necessarily happen but would be nice to be just waiting for an interview finally.

You will put 2 for 1.a. and 0 for 1.b. because your spouse is already counted on 1.a.
