NVC Filers - April 2020

Hey guys! I feel like I just graduated since we just received our welcome email from the NVC with our case number today. However, sadness of all sadness, they messed up our consulate for the interview. Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas how to get them to change it to the consulate it is supposed to be at?

Congratulations!! You have been waiting for so long and done so much for fellow members on this forum. Idk the answer to your question but I assume you can contact NVC to correct it. Plus the NVC stage takes 2 months+ so I hope everything can be sorted out when you get DQed!

Anyone approved mid March and still yet to get a case number from NVC.

Not mid, but last week of march.. still waiting. Heard it takes about 24 days after they officially send it to the NVC

We just got our case number! However, here comes Trump banning all types of immigration. We felt like we're back to square one of waiting.

Ours was approved March 20 and still yet to get the case number tho.

You can check the case app to see when they officially send it to the NVC, ours was 2 weeks after to official approval.

When was your case approved? Hopefully i pray the process continues during Trump ban immigration since he claims it’s a temporary decision and I’m positive the congress wouldn’t support the decision.

Its called case tracker or lawfully, download it and enter your receipt number. It will show everything regarding your case.

As stated it is required that "A copy of the joint sponsor's supporting tax documents (W-2s, 1099s, Form 2555, and tax schedules) that you filed with your federal income tax return"

Does the IRS Wage and Income transcript that is available online for me satisfy this requirement? This is a separate document from the IRS from his Income tax transcript, and it shows in detail a summary of all the forms he filed with his income tax. Or do I need to obtain copies of all his W-2's and 1099's. Any information on this would really help as I have access to the transcripts easily and if not then I need to go fishing in his filing cabinet.

If you have the tax return transcripts ordered from IRS, you do not need the W2s. However if you are using tax returns 1040, 1099, or any other schedules you will need W2s. Keep in mind Tax transcripts are preferred by  NVC and most embassies because they are from the IRS.
