I am preparing the form I-864 and have a question - My one joint sponsor has given me his tax return transcript for FY '16, '17, '18 (hasn't filed '19 yet due to Covid-19)

As stated it is required that "A copy of the joint sponsor's supporting tax documents (W-2s, 1099s, Form 2555, and tax schedules) that you filed with your federal income tax return"

Does the IRS Wage and Income transcript that is available online for me satisfy this requirement? This is a separate document from the IRS from his Income tax transcript, and it shows in detail a summary of all the forms he filed with his income tax. Or do I need to obtain copies of all his W-2's and 1099's. Any information on this would really help as I have access to the transcripts easily and if not then I need to go fishing in his filing cabinet.

I am at NVC phase now.

Do we have to submit beneficiary's proof of health insurance and DS-5540 to NVC?

I was thinking to add my husband to my health insurance plan from workplace when he arrives. Or I can buy visitors health insurance when he arrives.

I looked through DS5540.. it seems like it applies to people who are filing AOS within the United States..?

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

True. I went through it also and it doesn't apply to me, as I'm the beneficiary

Hello all,

I am a silent viewer of this topic :) I have a question: I submitted the nvc documents on feb 25th and added one more document (5560 form) on March 1st. I keep checking ceac website even though i have sometime to get the decision. 😕 But, today when I checked and clicked on ds260 “complete” link, I was able to get in and the form was open. I’m really nervous on what’s going on cause until yesterday, I was not able to open that link. Has anyone faced the same? Is is normal?

Would really appreciate your response :)

I think when you sign in as Applicant you can see certain info and if you sign in as Petitioner you cannot see the DS260 - I could be wrong but worth trying to log in with the other settings.

Ohhh is it? Thank god! Idk why I thought I couldn’t access the form before and now I can. I’m probably going crazy over this whole situation.

I am by no means qualified to say wether it’s correct or not, but I remember noticing it with surprise about a week ago or two. Before we submitted we created a PDF of every single page because we remembered that the DS160 which we filed in the past for a visitor visa was not accessible after submission which was a bit annoying 😁

I believe so, yes. Maybe others know for sure. What surprises me is that you already received welcome letter. Isn’t PD for F1 currently January ‘14? That would make the wait naturally almost a year 😑 I hope I’m misinterpreting though :)

Oh really, I didn’t know that those fees last for only a year, please can someone confirm this? And yes current F1 PD is January 2014, and my Pd is November 2014. That’s about 10 months away.

president Trump is going to temporarily halt all immigration into the United States. This will need to be watched in order to determine what/who/when this will affect. I hope we are not part of this executive order.

Well I was just about to go to bed and I had a message from my husband with this - https://globalnews.ca/news/6845616/coronavirus-trump-united-states-immigration/

I don't know if it means all immigrations or some - I hope that it's thought in court. The bad news just never stops.
