Yep, that's what I did. Since the deadline was moved to July, 2018 taxes are still valid as "most recent tax return". We already submitted everything to NVC and are waiting for review, but this is essentially what we did for financials:

- Filed I-864ez with "current income" total from 2019.

- Entered 2018, 2017, and 2016 as the three tax returns on I-864

- Uploaded 2018 transcript under required proof

- Under additional proof, we uploaded 2018 W2 & 1099 to support transcript, 2019 W2 & 1099 to support "current income" on the I-864ez, tax extension approval from IRS (since we anticipate ITIN processing to take forever now)

I pray that this will satisfy the NVC team :)

This looks very good ! I think it should suffice !

Thank you. I'm praying that we get DQ within the next 6-8 weeks. I'm not a citizen (only LPR) and with the speed they are currently processing I-130s I'm worried that soon there will be a wait again for visa numbers, on top of already long backlogs due to the pause on interviews...

No, I have noticed that many people that got DQed didn't do that, so I didn't think it's necessary. My W2s are all from the same employer (since 2016) with gradual income improvement and always way above poverty line), so I didn't think an additional letter is required.

True :( We filed almost 2 weeks ago so I optimistically deducted that already hahaha. I'm applying for my husband! The priority date for those visas has been current since last June or so, but who knows for how long that will last... We requested an expedite for the I-130 and got it approved within 107 days (including 4 weeks working on an RFE), but in the current situation there's no point on requesting another expedite so we'll just pray for the best...

Yeah, it doesn`t seem to be necessary but when I used to have a lawyer they asked me for paystubs  from the last 6 month and letter from emloyer. not sure why.  Anyway I uploaded 2 or 3 paystubs and the letter from employer. I have noticed  logic doesn`t apply when it comes to NVC

we filed on the march 28th. well, added an additional doc. so we filed around the same time!

There is no cap on visas for Immediate relatives. your husband should be able to get interview as soon as your docs are accepted and the embassies reopen. Although you filed for F-2A visa so I am not sure what process is like

I'm sure they have guidelines that maybe are not clear - like identifying patterns and requesting info based on that?

What puzzles me always when I see that paystubs or employment verification letters are required: In the US most companies have at-will employment and no long/ish termination terms like in other countries. In my head this makes paystubs and employment verification letters pretty much worthless, as things can change from one day to the other. Unlike annual income, which are an indicator on the income that the petitioner would make even after a job change. But maybe I look at it from a wrong perspective.

F2A are current at the moment (meaning there is no wait for a visa to become available), but there used to be longer wait times. It's always faster than siblings etc, that's for sure. But I think at some point the wait for a visa to become available was more than a year.

Besides that, the process is like the CR1/IR1 process, it's just the visa number availability that can make it a slow process

I see. Well I don`t know anything about F2A so I won`t pretend like I do . I hope it all turns out well for you and your husband !

I am at NVC phase now.

Do we have to submit beneficiary's proof of health insurance and DS-5540 to NVC?

I was thinking to add my husband to my health insurance plan from workplace when he arrives. Or I can buy visitors health insurance when he arrives.

I looked through DS5540.. it seems like it applies to people who are filing AOS within the United States..?

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Will be starting the 10th week of waiting for NVC - I really don't know how I will react to an RFE at this point. I know we are all in the same boat with this.

It's not like DQ means I can make dates for the move. Just that, that is the last time they can ask for paperwork apart from the medical. Unless something went really wrong.
