Thank you so much! I have copies of the immigration form that you must fill in order to enter to Mexico. In mexico your allowed to stay for 180 days as a tourist with one of those immigration forms. When the first 180 days were about to end I went to immigration office here in Mexico City and according to them in my case the only thing for me to do was leave the country and come back in order to get a new immigration form and stay another 180 days. That’s what I’ve been doing. It is totally legal.

I left Venezuela on March last year when the whole country suffered an electric power blackout. Demonstrations on the steers. Nothing was working.. no water.. no supermarkets so no food.  And the list goes on and on.

I dont recommend you to interview in Juarez. Wait times after DQ used to be around 12 months. Now with covid its gonna be longer maybe 15 months.

I got DQ in January 2020 and I was expecting to interview in January 2021. Now Im thinking more like April/May 2021.

Hi Arshia- we’re new to NVC. Where can we find the estimated wait times by embassy?

Thank you.

I found out through facebook groups of my embassy.

You can also monitor the spreadsheet posted in this thread. Search for your country

It’s by the country you will be interviewed at. I know there’s a spreadsheet but I don’t have the link for that. This might help you:

Hi Juliet!

No, the consulate for me is in Bogota. The US removed all diplomatic staffs from the US embassy in Caracas in March 11, 2019. Now bogota is the one for Venezuelans to go for immigrants visa interviews.

Can someone help me? I got approved by USCIS yesterday. I'm getting ready to upload docs to NVC. For passport photo, how many should I submit? Can I submit the same passport photo  that I submitted with i-130 petition? My husband's home country is currently on a  national lockdown so he can't get a new passport photo. (With the passport photo apps, we're worried that we might mess up) Also, I have IRS Transcripts for 2019,2018,2017 with annual income over 64K. (Household size is 3) I was thinking about submitting my most recent paystub from last two weeks with it. Would that suffice? For additional bonafide evidence, what should I submit? Thanks in advance!

Hi,  I couldn’t get the police certificate from the state police in Mexico City on time, now everything is close due coved-19 with no given date for reopening.

I’m waiting for the payment of fees are processed. I wrote a letter explaining the situation and I will upload it and check that documents in no available.

also I’m saying that I will be bringing it to the interview.

have anyone had this same scenario?

thanks!

Hi David,

I did that with 2 of my police certificates. Not due to COVID. - It was just taking a while to get them, so I uploaded all other documents and then just put in the notes that will bring those to the interview and it was accepted.

Hi,

For submitting online, you just need 1 photograph. My husband took a new photo because it should be a recent photograph. His photograph was taken for I-130 (Feb 2019) and we submitted NVC (Dec 2019) so it had been 10 months old.

I have heard good things from passport photos app. Maybe someone can recommend a specific one they used?

Did you get transcripts for 2019 already? or do you mean 2018?

You can submit paystubs as additional documents under "proof of current or self employment"

The bonafide evidence was evaluated for your I-130 , not at the NVC stage, but may come up again at the interview. For NVC you will need to show domicile (that you and your husband plan to live in the US)

Good luck getting your documents submitted!

Thank you Dakota. I’ll do that them. I have the one from Venezuela with a certified translation even when they said that is not required.

I figured you could change your interview embassy since youre living in Mexico but since youre not a resident then I dont know 😁. Youre better off interviewing in Colombia anyway !
