Congrats! I’m at the NVC stage too. I paid the fees and submitted all documents other than the PCC. My husband is unable to obtain the PCC at this time due to the lockdown. The passport offices are closed. I was just wondering what other filers from the Mumbai Consulate are doing about the PCC.

Thanks! That's the only document I'm worried about as well. I don't assume it will be available until India lifts their lockdown, so I'm not sure how long it'll take 😔

I wonder if people are uploading an explanation that it cannot be obtained because of the ongoing situation but will be brought to the interview? Wouldn't this be a problem with most countries right now?

You’re welcome! I actually called NVC and asked about this. I asked if it’s possible to just bring the PCC to the interview. She said that it’s fine. She said to click “Not Available” next to the PCC on the ceac website and leave a note that my husband is unable to obtain the PCC at this time due to the lockdown and that he will bring the PCC on the day of the interview when it is scheduled. I told my lawyer about this and he did as the representative said. But I’m still a little worried that they might not give DQ without the PCC. They should be more lenient during this time since all countries are going through this right now as you said, but I’m still concerned.

Rightly concerned, but I'm hoping that this works for you! When did you submit all documents?

Thank u. I hope so. My lawyer submitted all other documents on March 30th and then we waited for the PCC. I decided to call the NVC yesterday as I felt we were losing alot of time. As soon as she said we could put “Not Available” for the PCC, I told my lawyer and he did that yesterday. Now all documents are submitted and waiting for review.

By PCC do you mean police certificate? So we can get DQed without??

If you plan to have your itw in Paris Embassy, the usual (normal) delay is about 3-4 weeks from the moment you receive the ITW letter. But with Covid, I don't know. All the itw  have be postponed, so it's piling up.

We have been DQed early April, I expect to get the itw letter in 3 weeks with an appointment early June (that may be postpone...)

Arf... I thought it would be sooner, I was hoping to be in the US in may for my wedding anniversary.
