Working on entering data in the DS-260 and on the third page trying to enter present and past addresses.  I'll get two or three entered and then when I click the button to add another it will lock up and then it will kick me out with a "Application Error: You have encountered and application error.  Please try again later." message.

I've tried many times.  Generally get three addresses in and it bombs on the fourth.  Sometimes bombs on the third address.  Of course it doesn't save anything so I have to log back in again and click through to the address page and start entering everything again.

I'm using Google Chrome, I've turned off all adblockers, I've tried logging in through a VPN and without a VPN.  Nothing seems to work.  Any ideas, or is this just a "CEAC website sucks, gotta just keep trying" kind of thing?

Going to try to start my wife's daughter's application to see if it bombs at the same point.

I use firefox and a VPN while in Vietnam to fill out the DS-260, took me a couple of tries also but generally it saved the pages when I got to the bottom. Try entering one or two addresses, then move on to the next page and see if that helps, you can go back and re=edit if needed.

Otherwise I am thinking CEAC is having issues.

Good Luck with it

I did try to enter a couple and save but it won't let you save an "in process" sheet.  It comes back with the red instructions at the top of the required fields before it can save.  One of which is that I haven't shown complete history no more than a month gap back to age 16.

I had the same problem. I tried all the different browsers and that did not fix it. It would give me an error code, then kick me out and I had to start all over again. I found the problem for me; don't enter any kind of special characters like #/ -. It also it kept telling me I had an error on "Line 1" of my wife's address in the Philippines. But there are several "Line 1" for current and previous addresses. She only has one current address, and in the previous address "Line 1" I placed "N/A" and that was the problem. The error code doesn't tell you not to use special characters. and like I mentioned it kept telling me line one had an error so I was only looking at the top of the page at the current address. Took me several tries and a lot of frustration to figure that out.

I did get through it by tricking the website.  I entered the present address then entered the previous address but entered it with a "FROM" date old enough to get her back to prior to her 16th birthday.  That at least allowed me to save the page.  Then after saving I went back and clicked the "ADD ADDRESS" button, entered the next one, changed the address time range for the previous address to the correct time range and the new one to the exaggerated address to get back to age 16.  Save, Repeat. Save.  Slow but got me through it.

We had this problem, how we solved it was just we counted before hand how many previous addresses my husband had had and added them right when we got to the page so if say for example he had 4 previous addressed just click add address button 4 times right then and then fill them out. Doing it the fill out one address then clicking the add address again button would not work and do what you said it did. So this is how we got it to work even on firefox.
