Hi There - my fiance's visa has been approved and delivered (bloody miracle!)... however, he lives in the UK. Does anyone know if travel from the UK to the US is allowed at this time, using a K1 visa? We have read everything online and the proclamation doesn't say anything specifically about K1. Hoping someone in this awesome Visa Journey community may have more info?
Thanks a ton!

Apparently not, as K-1 is not an immediate relative of a USC.

A simple search turned this up for the UK government website https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/usa stating that they wish that you not travel, but if the need is there you can travel but must enter into the designated airports in the US that are equipped to do screening upon arrival. I know of one VJ'r who was able to travel to USA through JFK airport and had no problems. There was a list early on that had the 13 airports that were allowed incoming international flights. That list has since been updated to include more locations. I thought that I had that information but cannot find it. If you are still in the dark, I suggest that you use a search engine of your choice and search for additional answers. Another place to ask is in your sub-forum for you country. Find it on the main page of VJ. Scroll 3/4 of the way down and the list of country's will be there.

Could you report back what you were to do and your success as this information helps others. Good luck and safe travels.

This information on the use of specific airports is accurate for those travelers from Europe and the UK who are authorised to enter the US.  Under the Presidential proclamation, which lists the categories of people who can enter (in general, immediate relatives of US citizens, diplomats, and medical personnel -- read the proclamation for specifics), it does not include K-1s.  They are not considered immediate relatives and do not fit any of the other categories.

The "boots on the ground" say otherwise. Just last week a K-1 who had her visa, jumped on a plane from Europe and landed at JFK and went through customs and immigration with no problems or wait and funny thing is there wasn't any tests for COVID done on her. Was it a normal occurrence, I think not but to say "it does not include K-1's is misinformation.

Sorry -- it is not misinformation...read the proclamation. There is no category of travelers that includes K-1s.  Can some people manage to get admitted in spite of the restrictions -- yes.  But nobody should rely on being the one who does.

I will say travel. There is actually quite a few K1s who have been admitted to the US recently. I will advise you to travel as soon as possible. As the times we are in are very volatile, things can change any day. Also, make sure you carry all your evidence. You will need it. And lastly, make sure you fly into one of the designated places- Boston, New York, DC, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Honolulu

JFK is a nice airport. Avoid Chicago if you can.
